We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jessica Massey . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jessica below.
Jessica , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I began making my organic skincare from my kitchen five years ago!!! Wow, how time flies, I was so passionate about makeup years ago, and of course, we all know how damaging makeup can be to the skin!
My skin started to break out bad “ I never dealt with acne in my teenage years” I tried everything, and nothing worked. So I took matters into my own hands. I began Doing my Research and Experimenting with Different herbs; I Came up with A miracle product!
I started passing it out to friends and family, and that’s when it dawned on me I had created something that could help others who suffered from Skin issues that had tried everything over the counter or by a dermatologist and were still left without a solution! It was a hit.
I started selling my products from the trunk of my car. People would meet up with me at the McDonald’s parking lot to get their hands on the “GOOD STUFF,” which led me to create my first website.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Let me introduce myself to those who may not know me. I’m Jessica, founder of Rawheka, an organic skincare brand. I’ve been in the skincare industry for five years, and I’ve accomplished so many things I’ve never dreamed of. I’m a stay-at-home mompreneur that runs a successful online business. I’ve had the opportunity to quit a job I worked for seven years to become my very own boss and role model to my children. I have dedicated many hours and sacrificed a lot to show myself and others that you’re capable of anything you put your mind to! I think the thing that I’m most proud of is being an inspiration to people who have watched me start this thing up from my kitchen to a 6 figure business
My skincare brand has helped thousands of women, men, and teenagers with skin issues such as acne, hyperpigmentation, and eczema: psoriasis and rosacea.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective way I grew my Clientele was through word of mouth & Testimonies. I believe that people believe the great things your products can do when they hear/see the results from actual—people who’ve tried your product and stand by your brand. I’m so grateful. for my Loyal #Hekababes. They’re the reason we’re still reaching new leads and customers today. Big shout out to the gang xoxo

We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.
My products are sold on my very own website, www. rawheka. Shop because it gives me more control over my business and marketing to my customers! I feel like you can work in the back office of your website, which allows you to have a better outlook on how your business is growing and which areas you can improve. I choose Shopify because it has so many great features and apps that you can plug-in to your website to make things run so much smoother
