We recently connected with Jessica Marin and have shared our conversation below.
Jessica, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
It all started when I wanted to buy lingerie for myself and I really couldn’t find anything that would work as everyday pretty lingerie. I think when people hear the word lingerie they automatically think garters and all the extra stuff, I wanted minimal, sexy, affordable lingerie that I could wear as everyday and not just for one occasion. Thats when the idea came to me to start my own lingerie brand. I have a degree in fashion design and I’ve cureated brands in the past , so I knew what was required to start a brand from scratch. I needed to find the right resources for my vision. I was able to connect with amazing people that helped me bring my vision to life.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Jessica Marin I’m 34yrs old. I was born and raised in NYC. I went to school In Colombia for Fashion Design. Fashion has always been one of my biggest passions. I remember when I was young If I had a vision of a dress or blouse I would take a piece of clothing in my closet and try to recreate my vision. 40% of the time it would come out how I pictured, But at least I tried. When I had the idea of creating a lingerie brand I knew I had to put in the work to create what I wanted. I worked 3 jobs and didn’t stop until I made it happened. Determination and consistency are Key when it comes to achieving anything in life and I think when you have an idea in your heart you should go for it and not let anyone else tell you you cant. It’s only been 1yr since I launched Eternity Lingerie and it has been the most exciting, rewarding year so far. We had the pleasure to participate in Miami Swim Week’23. and be featured in magazines like ELLE and Bazaar. Im excited for what the future has in store for Eternity Lingerie and grateful for what we have accomplished so far.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I started getting pricing from all the companies I knew I had to use to create my brand and made a check list of what were the top priorities I needed asap to start Eternity. I needed a logo and branding so I knew I had to go with that first. It took me 6 months to put everything together and launched. With in those 6 months I worked really really hard to afford my vision and I didn’t stop until I had accomplish my mission.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
My eternity Family has been growing on social media thanks to the tools It offers. I think it’s important to run ads and be consistent on all social media platforms because you never know who is watching. Heres a little advice If you don’t know what to do check out what your competitors are doing and try to imitate what they are doing but incorporating your sense of style and originality.
