We were lucky to catch up with Jessica Lissette recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jessica, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
In 2021, I embarked on a transformative journey that would change the course of my life forever. Feeling the weight of my past struggles and the need delve deep into nature and my Self, I made a bold decision to follow my intuition to leave behind the familiar and venture into the unknown. With my partner by my side, I packed my belongings into a small SUV and set off on a cross country road trip that led us to Colorado.
Immersing myself in the beauty of nature and the vastness of the open road, I felt a sense of renewal andand liberation washing over me. The journey allowed me to reconnect with my roots, to reflect in the constructs of my mind, and to delve deep into my soul’s desire and aspirations.
One of the most significant decisions I made was walking away from the medical field, a path that had been a constant in my life for so long. Despite the challenges and doubts that crept in, I found solace in knowing that I was following my heart and my true calling. I cultivated a deep connection to Sound Medicine and Sea Moss products, all of which had become such an integral part of my life and well being.
As I settled into my new role of being a vessel for sharing healing and wellness with my community, I embraced the opportunity to offer my support and comfort to those in need. My mission in life is simple: to leave a positive impact on humanity, to uplift and empower others through my presence and offerings.
Through this journey of risk-taking, self-discovery, and transformation, I found a sense of purpose and fulfillment that transcended any fears or uncertainties. I learned that by letting go of the past and embracing the unknown, we open ourselves up to endless possibilities and opportunities for growth and healing. And in the end, my hope is that I can continue to make a difference in the lives of others, fostering a sense of community, connection, and well-being for all.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Jessica and my handle/business name is TheHippieFrequency. At 36 years old, I have found my passion and purpose by immersing myself in the world of wellness and healing. My journey into this industry was not a deliberate choice but rather a natural progression of sharing my own experiences and practices with my community. Through my work, I offer sound medicine journeys and holistic products such as organic sea moss gel and magnesium spray, all aimed at supporting individuals on their path to healing and self-discovery.
The core problem I aim to solve for my community is providing guidance and support for those seeking direction on their healing journey. While each person’s path is unique and ever-evolving, I believe that there are tools and modalities that can aid in the process of self-discovery and healing. By offering sound medicine journeys and a small range of organic products, I strive to create a space for individuals to connect with their inner self and truth.
What sets me apart from others in this space is my genuine and present approach to my work. I live and breathe the principles of health and wellness. I embody the values and practices that I promote. The products I offer have made a positive impact on my well-being.
My community can trust that when they engage with me and my brand, they are connecting with a genuine and authentic presence that is committed to their well-being. My online presence is a reflection of who I am and the values I hold dear.
I want people to know that my work is a passion and a lifestyle.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One lesson I had to unlearn was he belief that I needed to identify with a career that was safe and stable. For a long time, I had been conditioned to seek certainty and security in my professional life, always opting for the known and predictable path. However, I realized that this mindset was limiting my growth and true potential.
I had a fear of the unknown. I had a deep seated need for clear cut answers and a planned future. I was uncomfortable with the idea of venturing into uncharted territory. i clung to the illusion of control and structure.
It was through introspection, lots of alone time, spending time in nature and reading books that I began to unlearn this restrictive mindset. I had to confront the idea that life was not always black and white, and that sometimes the most transformative experiences come from embracing and surrenduring to the unknown. I had to open myself up to the idea of spontaneity.
In this process of unlearning, I came to understand that the beauty of life lies in its unpredictability and the endless possibilities that unfold when we release our grip on certainty. I now wander through life without a predetermined destination. I stepped into a realm of limitless potential and creative freedom and trusting the journey.
