We recently connected with Jessica Lauren Johnson and have shared our conversation below.
Jessica Lauren , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Of course! My name is Jessica Lauren, and I’m a dedicated real estate professional passionate about helping people buy, sell, and invest in homes. My journey into real estate wasn’t just about a career change—it was about creating a better life for my child while making a meaningful impact on others.
When I first started, I knew that success in this business wouldn’t come easy. I had to build everything from the ground up—learning the market, networking, and setting myself apart through consistency and community engagement. Today, I specialize in helping buyers navigate the home-buying process, guiding sellers to get the best value for their homes, and providing expert market insights to investors.
What sets me apart is my commitment to relationships over transactions. I believe real estate isn’t just about properties; it’s about people, their dreams, and their future. I take pride in being a trusted advisor, not just during the buying or selling process, but long after. My clients know they can always reach out for guidance, resources, or just a friendly check-in.
One of my proudest achievements is seeing the impact I’ve made—whether it’s helping a first-time homebuyer finally achieve their dream, assisting a family in finding their perfect home, or helping a seller move on to their next chapter with confidence.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about my brand and my work, it’s that I genuinely care. I’m here to make the process smooth, stress-free, and successful, and I’ll always go the extra mile to ensure my clients feel supported every step of the way.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building my audience on social media has been a journey of consistency, engagement, and community support. When I first started in real estate, I knew that social media would be a powerful tool, but I also realized that simply posting about homes wasn’t enough—I had to create content that was informative, engaging, and personal.
I began by sharing my real estate journey, market insights, home-buying and selling tips, and behind-the-scenes moments to give people an inside look at what I do. Over time, I saw that people connected most with authenticity, so I made it a priority to show up consistently, whether through market updates, client success stories, or just sharing my day-to-day experiences.
One of the biggest factors in my social media growth has been the support of my friends, clients, and community. Referrals are the backbone of my business, and when people not only recommend me to others but also invite their friends to like and follow my pages, it makes a huge impact. Every new follower is a potential connection—someone who might need real estate guidance now or in the future. That kind of word-of-mouth support has been invaluable in helping me reach more people and continue growing my business.
For those just starting to build their social media presence, my biggest advice is to be consistent, provide value, and engage with your audience. Don’t just post for the sake of posting—create content that educates, inspires, or entertains. Show your personality, share your expertise, and most importantly, build relationships. Social media isn’t just about numbers; it’s about connecting with people in a meaningful way. And if you have a strong support system, don’t be afraid to ask them to help spread the word—those small actions, like inviting their friends to follow your page, can make all the difference.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
Keeping in touch with clients and fostering brand loyalty is all about building genuine, long-term relationships. I don’t see my clients as just transactions—I see them as part of my real estate family, and I make it a priority to stay connected well beyond the closing.
I use a mix of personal touches and digital engagement to keep the relationship strong. This includes checking in with past clients through calls, texts, or emails to see how they’re enjoying their home, sending personalized notes on birthdays and home anniversaries, and providing market updates that might be relevant to them. I also love dropping off small gifts as a token of appreciation and a way to show I genuinely care.
Social media is another powerful tool I use to maintain connections. By sharing market insights, home tips, and personal updates, I stay top of mind for my past clients while also engaging with them in a way that feels natural. Many of my clients interact with my posts, share their own homeownership experiences, and even invite their friends to follow my page, which helps expand my reach and build a strong community around my brand.
Referrals play a huge role in my success, and I truly appreciate when past clients recommend me to their family and friends. To show my gratitude, I always make sure they know how much I appreciate their support, whether it’s through a heartfelt thank-you message or a small token of appreciation.
Ultimately, brand loyalty comes from trust, consistency, and real connections. I want my clients to feel like they can always turn to me—not just when they need to buy or sell, but anytime they have a question about real estate, homeownership, or even just to say hello!
