We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jessica Koehler a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Jessica thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I’ve loved all aspects of entertainment since I was a little girl. But not just being on stage- the entire creative process has always been exciting to me.

I’d rally the neighbor girls as the cast of my shows. We’d draw flyers & have our parents copy them off at work. The fireplace or driveway were our favorite stages!

Jessica Koehler, Mrs. Minnesota America 2020, married her husband, Dr. Eric Koehler, in 2012 & adopted his two children after losing their mother. Jessica put her own pursuits aside while nurturing her new family, which soon added another son. She later applied her network marketing gift to become a Top Global Achiever in the health and wellness industry and host of her own live social media show. As a business leader, Jessica attended Harvard University’s Executive Leadership Program to hone her skills and better guide her teams to success. She currently is an active member of her community & serves as a Guest Teacher in local public schools & loves her creative home at Sigma Beauty as TikTok Live Host!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

I’m a big believer that there are opportunities around us at all times. We have to be brave enough to go after them & work hard enough to scale them.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

I love a system, a blueprint, a plan. I pride myself in being productive, positive & efficient. Working with the best people by knowing what roles they thrive in & then getting out of their way to let them shine. I’m slow to hire & quick to fire. The people I work with are family. I take care of them & they take care of me.
