We were lucky to catch up with Jessica Johnston recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jessica, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard.

Our main focus is skin health with the bonus of a glowing tan. Our service provides a skin consultation, first and foremost. We strive to ensure each client has a luxury experience by customizing colors based on the client’s individual skin type and tone. This difference matters because there are so many harmful and damaging ingredients to the skin’s epidermis that most consumers are unaware of. They are actively trying to take the healthier route by spray tanning instead of sun tanning but some of the solutions on the market are just as detrimental to the skin.

Jessica, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I started as a makeup artist and transitioned into a licensed aesthetician. In between that timeframe, I established Le Luxe with the main focus being skin healthy ingredients. During my time as a make up artist, I ran into a lot of challenges in application due to solutions, colors, and textures. Once I got into aesthetics, I was able to do a deeper dive into the damaging effects of some of the ingredients. I am really proud of the business I have created because not only do we have an outstanding team with a likeminded passion for skin health, but we offer something more than just a golden tan.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

Everyone is a potential client, so it’s really important to be your genuine self. As uncomfortable as it may be at times go to networking events and join business groups. Step outside of your comfort zone and introduce yourself! Sometimes you have to get creative.
