We recently connected with Jessica Harden and have shared our conversation below.

Jessica, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?

I would say that my parents encouraging me to establish a relationship with Jesus Christ during my adolescent age was the most essential element they taught me; having HIM as my foundation and being rooted in his promises and teachings allow me to be who I am and guides me in my everyday life.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 13:13, “For these three remain; faith, hope and love but the greatest of these is love.” This verse has been the moral compass of how I choose to be in the world; this teaching is a reminder for me to lead with compassion and empathy. Throughout my journey, anything and everything I’ve done has been executed with the intention of love and by following my heart.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?

I believe that we are all creatives because we all possess a GOD given purpose. We each have our own gifts and talents that have been instilled inside of hearts for our spiritual growth; it is through Jesus Christ we are able to accumulate the courage and wisdom to use our passions to fulfill the will of GOD.

: Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My passion is to plant seeds of Jesus Christ into those around me just by being whom he created me to be. I believe that by living my unapologetic and authentic truth I am able to display the freedom and forgiveness that comes with being a follower of Jesus Christ. I believe each and every one of us deserves to know an everlasting and unconditional love that can only be found in HIM.
