We were lucky to catch up with Jessica Gee recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Taking risks is something our family knows very well. Our journey began with wanting to do “a little bit of travel”, which ultimately led to selling our home and belongings, and embarking on our own personal ‘bucket list’ adventure. Over the years we’ve visited almost 100 countries and have had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in new and diverse cultures. Our decision to leave behind a traditional lifestyle in pursuit of adventure required us to really step outside of our comfort zones and embrace uncertainty, especially with three children in tow. While the risk involved logistical challenges and unforeseen obstacles along the way, it presented the opportunity for personal growth, new experiences, and emphasized the importance of family bonds.
Jessica, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
On our platform, we focus on being true to ourselves & our beliefs. Our content is always first and foremost, a family journal. We share what we want to remember. We started our page simply sharing our journey, and it’s amazing to see how many lives we’ve touched by just being ourselves. The thing I am most proud of is the incredible people that we have brought together. I think when you’re authentic, you naturally bring like-minded people together. We’ve connected and met so many wonderful people over the years through this Bucket List Community and we hope to continue to do so.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Look, social media is not an easy place to work. Especially for someone like myself. It comes quite naturally to my husband and he doesn’t take anything people say personally. For me, sharing my life online has been a journey of many highs and lows I’ve shared about both!). When it comes to social media you can put out 1) Good 2) Bad or 3) Nothing. Frankly, if it were up to only me, I’d put out nothing. But over the years I’ve learned over and over again the importance of putting out GOOD. There’s so much bad, so sharing what we stand for – family, adventure, kindness, open- mindedness, bravery, service, etc. – is more important than anything.
