Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jessica Furey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jessica, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about the best advice you’ve ever given to a client?
People/Clients when you love and remember the little details they share. Their kids, grandkids, business accomplishments or hurtles they overcame. They often are sharing personal things as a way to build trust and a connection. Being in a business of relationships and prioritizing relationships within your business can serve you greatly in years to come.
Jessica, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Prior to making a career change into real estate, I had a personal training business. This has been an emotional, exciting as well as challenging transition. It would be trying to compare apples to oranges from one business to the other.
My business is fitness has served me tremendously when it comes to being disciplined, consistent to get results, and works with different type of people.
Real estate is fun especially in Los Angeles. Some of the homes are gorgeous. However it’s awhole other breed. Real estate is a tough business to break into and requires discipline, consistency to see results, building relationships, working with people, and staying ontop of the market and new trends. Hard work will always be rewarding and surrounding yourself with supportive people who equally want to see you grow and succeed.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I like social media, being creative comes naturally for me. When you’re building a brand it’s best to break down the basics; who’s your target audience, are you creating attractive content that’s consistent to your brand, how’s your lighting ? what are your like/hobbies/favorite color or maybe you love art or cars, tying the little things into your post will naturally attract an audience. If you’re in a customer based business, I would suggest creating content with the customer in mind as opposed to yourself. I heard one before while posting, is it to entertain, attract, inform, educate, amuse or call to action. It’s easy these days with all the social platforms to get distracted by the millions of things that are constantly on the news feed. It’s not a bad thing to get ideas from someone who has a larger follower, but then make it your own, Remember no one is reinventing the wheel over here. Stick to what feels good and what you’re aligned with.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I can come up with ALOT of stories. I am relentless. I have been faced with ALOT of rejection. I allow myself to feel whatever feeling that comes up and then let it go. I also use working out, writing, meditating, and talking to a support system to reground myself. There’s this Chinese Proverb that I think of during times I’ve had to be resilient, “Fall down seven times, stand up eight.” – Chinese Proverb
