Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jessica Eden. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jessica, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?
Some of the things I’m seeing come up trending in the industry lately are bright, bold coppers, warm blondes, and my personal favorite, rich + ultra blended brunettes. We’re seeing more people interested in extensions, and specifically extensions that are almost invisible, like hand tied options. Some of my guests don’t want the image you get when you think extensions: long super thick mermaid hair. They just want to enhance their natural hair a little bit by adding some density for fuller styling.

Jessica, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
So I got into the industry much like every other stylist – to help people feel beautiful. Over time, this felt a little more self-serving. I had a really large paradigm shift a few years back when I began researching out other similar business operate. I started getting my nails done, lash extensions, facials, massages. I was in search of the best experience to bring these things back to my salon. What I found was that it really wasn’t about looking beautiful, it was the confidence and self-care ritual that became so important to me.
That’s why at Eden, your salon experience will feel more like a mini spa day. I wanted to turn the spotlight back on my guests, and empower them to take time for themselves. I wanted each guest to leave my salon feeling radiant, lovely, seen, known, heard, cared for, sultry, confident. I wanted them to feel like they got more than just their hair done. I wanted them to feel rejuvenated, restored, aligned with who they were always meant to be….a powerful, unstoppable woman.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Yes, absolutely. I wish I had learned more about finances, business building, self-care, healthy money mindset, saying no is okay, not having all the answers is okay, and that in order to get to where you want to be, you have to invest (time and money), into learning the skills you need to achieve those goals.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
It’s so hard to describe the sight when my guests are leaving. Sure, their hair looks great. But they somehow look healthier, happier, more relaxed, more in tune with who they are. It’s almost like they’re literally glowing. And it doesn’t stop there! When I admittedly go to creep on their instagrams afterward, they look like they’ve just stepped into who they are so fully. Like I said, it’s hard to describe unless you’ve witness it, but it’s by far the most rewarding, warm fuzzy feeling I’ll ever get in my career.
