Jessenia, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

The most meaningful project I’ve worked on I’d have to say is the one I’m currently working on. I’m producing
my first show ever at this caliber called “Rooted” about a rose who grew in the concrete jungle. It’ll be an exhibition-style show that takes guests on an immersive journey through the life of the rose. It’ll narrate powerful stories of pain, rage, change and renewal, expressed through the mesmerizing movements of Ambiance Empire dancers. Each performance represents a different chapter of life, with artwork evolving into living, breathing performances. It’ll integrate elements of fashion, art, and movement, ensuring that there is something to intrigue and inspire every guest. I’m excited to push the boundaries of artistic expression and celebrate the beauty of resilience. Reminding everyone that we are all a rose in our own respective way and that we all have a story to tell.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Hey my name is JV, I’m a passionate visionary whose journey into the world of performance, fashion, and artistic direction has been a lifelong pursuit. With a deep rooted love for movement and visual storytelling. My journey began during my childhood years, putting on shows for family that combined elements of fashion, art, and dance. It eventually evolved into a professional dance career for 18+ years starting in. Boston, then New York, then moving to LA throughout my adult life. Grateful to travel the world doing what I love. Now I’m the founder and creative director of JV Creations, a hub of excellence educating aspiring creatives about the many layers of artistic expression and guiding them through their journey of exploration.

What JV Creations offers is a range of services, including mentorship, choreography, creative direction, and full-scale production of artistic showcases. Our work spans across various forms of creative expression, including fashion styling, visual art, and performance. We also offer training programs for aspiring dancers, choreographers stylists, and creative directors, helping them to develop their craft and find their unique voice in the industry.

My desire to express the complexities of life through various artistic forms that I was passionate for drove me to creating Ambiance Empire my performance company. Where we specialize in creating impactful, memorable experiences that leave a lasting impression on audiences. Whether it’s through producing a live show, curating a visual, or providing tailored training programs, JV Creations helps clients and collaborators bring their artistic visions to life. We solve the challenge of blending multiple artistic avenues into a cohesive and powerful narrative.

What sets me apart is my heart in helping others see their unique gifts and the possibilities that they can make anything happen. At JV Creations authenticity is key its what allows you to truly shine your light on the being you truly are. Our work is not just about entertainment; it’s about telling stories that resonate and inspire change. We pride ourselves on pushing creative boundaries and delivering work that is both innovative and emotionally impactful.

I am most proud of the growth I see in my students/clients and the confidence thats built throughout the process. I’m also proud of myself for standing 10 toes down on my vision even when I’ve felt like giving up. I was always told you have to choose one thing but my ability to bring together diverse elements of art and create something that resonates on a universal level wouldn’t allow me to box myself in. I’m currently Producing my first exhibit style show, “Rooted,” featuring the debut of Ambiance Empire which represents years of hard work and passion, a significant milestone in my life. It’s truly a testament to the power of perseverance and the beauty of staying true to one’s artistic vision. Using my pain and pouring it into my artistry.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

A story from my journey that truly illustrates my resilience is when I lost the closest person in my life my mom. Instead of letting grief paralyze me which it definitely did for some time, I used it as fuel to push forward, knowing that tomorrow is never promised. The goals I once shared with her became my driving force, and I made it my mission to keep my word and achieve them. Grief has taught me that time isn’t something we have as much of as we think. So, I’ve learned to act on my dreams now, making the most of every moment because we never know how many we have left.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding aspect of being a creative artist is the ability to connect with people universally through artistic expression. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about witnessing the growth in my students, seeing them evolve and develop their skills. But the most rewarding part is watching my clients transform seeing them finally recognize their own light, regain their confidence, and begin to walk in their power. It’s a powerful reminder of the impact art can have on an individual’s journey, and it’s moments like these that fuel my passion for what I do.
