We were lucky to catch up with Jesse William recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Jesse thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

I run multiple businesses however my pride and joy is The Day Trader Chatroom Inc. The reason for this love is that at The DTC (day trader chatroom) my goal was to bring the highest quality educational material I could bring to share with others how I learned to trade stocks, options, and futures.

Why did I want to share this? The answer to this is straightforward, when I started trading years ago I had no clue where to start it’s not like school prepares you for this. So I started on Google looking up information and learning keywords like PDT (pattern day trader rule) I quickly ended up on YouTube watching traders share their experiences and teaching others. After some time trying out different strategies I found on YouTube I quickly realized that there was so much information on YouTube and it was tough to find information that actually worked.

I ended up learning from a couple of mentors and that is when I realized all the misinformation and half-truths found on YouTube and in a lot of trading communities/courses.

That is when I launched my YouTube channel but I wanted to not only focus on trading so I named my channel Hustle With JesseW the W stands for my middle initial. I wanted to share my experiences, and what I was learning not only in trading but as an entrepreneur.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Jesse Acosta I go by JesseW on social media because W is my middle initial. It belongs to my dads first name. My dad taught me early in life that if I wanted to succeed in life I needed to always give it my max effort so if I fell short I still fell in greatness. This is something I have applied in my life and it has helped me tremendously over the past 17 years of being self-employed. Today I run multiple businesses and trade full time. Anyone can learn the ins and outs of trading but Learning to trade was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life because trading makes you fight your emotions and emotions are the hardest thing for any person to control. I never gave up thanks to my wife who pushed me along the way and always heard my dad in my head letting me know to give it my all. Thanking God for blessing me with talent and my family for always believing in me I stand here a consistently profitable trader and a fiscally responsible person who just wants to share what he knows with those who want to listen.

I work in the weight loss and low T space as well as in the stock and futures trading educational space. My goal is to solve my clients and student’s problems as fast and efficiently as possible. We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I started building my youtube audience by simply putting up a webcam on my desk and clicking record and sharing exactly what I was learning when it came to trading. People found this information useful and could relate since they were also looking for information to learn to trade.

Being relatable to your audience is absolutely essential in growing a connection with them that will cause them to want to follow or watch you. You must also have content that will either entertain or help your viewer and if you can do both at the same time then you simply should just win!

How’d you meet your business partner?

The co-founder of The DTC and I met at a part-time job I had probably 20 years ago. He was such a hard worker at pet supermarket where we worked and I on the other hand was looking for ways to get out of the rat race. Little did he and I know we would become friends and later in life business partners in one of the most exciting businesses I have ever launched.
