Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jesse Leal. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jesse , appreciate you joining us today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
My daughter, Ashley Leal, who is a gratuate from USF with her Advertising and Public Relations Degree has been handling all of our Marketing and Advertising for a few months now.
Jesse , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Jesse and Lazaro (Team Leal) have been friends for over 10 years. When Jesse came across Tap Truck USA he immediately knew this was a business he wanted to do. He approached Lazaro who also enjoys a love for people and vintage cars and within a month Tap Truck of Tampa Bay was born. Both Jesse and Lazaro not only share a love of vintage cars but also a love of seeing friends and families come together to celebrate.
How did you build your audience on social media?
You have to make sure that the content you are sharing is relevant to your audience and shared on social media at the right time of day. You have to stay top of mind with your followers as at any moment any of your followers can become your client.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Owning an old classic vehicle as the main part of your business requires a lot of patience and knbowing basic mechanical skills. We had an event in our community and as we pulled out of our driveway one of our airbags from the custom 1956 FOrd F1 rutured and left us stranded. We had to order the part and perform the repair on the side of the road immediately.
