We were lucky to catch up with Jesse Kosierowski recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jesse, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

At Jesse K Media, my mission is simple; to inspire others to not just dream, but to dream Big! This simple phrase, “Don’t just dream, dream BIG!”, isn’t just a quote – it’s my guiding compass. It has guided me through the exhilarating highs, the frustrating lows, and the quiet in-betweens on my journey towards my dreams. There have been moments of doubt, but this quote is a fervent reminder to keep chasing the extraordinary and giving all the glory to God. Jesse K Media’s mission was inspired by my allure with the world of entertainment. This passion began at a young age, belting out show tunes in my family’s living room to becoming captivated by red carpet coverage with wide-eyed wonder. This early spark of passion ignited a lifelong love for pop culture, leading me to pursue a career where I could not only be a spectator, but also a storyteller. My background bridges the performer-analyst divide. My experience in the performing arts grants me a unique perspective on the creative process. However, my true passion lies in cultivating connection. I thrive on engaging with artists and storytellers, then translating their experiences and insights into captivating narratives. Currently, I have been utilizing my diverse perspective as an entertainment writer for The Knockturnal, crafting insightful and engaging pieces that delve into the ever-evolving landscape of pop culture. While I have been told that my knowledge rivals an entertainment encyclopedia, I strive to take an approach that is fresh and vibrant, fueled by a genuine enthusiasm that makes the complex world of entertainment accessible and exciting. Through Jesse K Media, I seek to illuminate the ever-shifting currents of pop culture, and translate trends and stories into unique insights. I truly believe that pop culture isn’t just entertainment, it’s a captivating force that shapes our world.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

As an entertainment reporter and content creator, I’ve always been passionate about storytelling. My own journey into this field began with a dream. I have always been a dreamer, and I have always believed my wildest dreams could be my realty through a little hard work and perseverance. Growing up, my heart beat for arts and entertainment. As a child, I’d spend hours scrolling through the latest behind-the-scenes clips, celebrity interviews, and red carpet coverage. Suddenly, with my first iPhone in hand, my aspirations in entertainment felt tangible and within reach. Since that day, I’ve been relentlessly pursuing my passion. I’ve spent countless hours honing my craft, learning from industry experts, and experimenting with different styles and approaches. I’ve experienced both successes and failures, but each experience has shaped me into the creator I am today. With every opportunity that comes my way, I strive to learn, grow, and push the boundaries of my creativity. This has allowed me to delve into the world of content curation, crafting engaging narratives for the entertainment sphere. Highlighting upcoming films and interviewing academy award winning directors and A-list stars like Zac Efron, further fueled my passion for storytelling and audience engagement. While these experiences exposed me to various facets of media production, my heart beats for the dynamic world of social media, content creation, and digital marketing within the entertainment industry. Ultimately, I desire to document my authentic experiences and inspire others to chase their own unique dreams, whatever they may be. I wanted to create a space where creatives and aspiring professionals could see the reality of pursuing their dreams, the ups and downs, the waiting periods, and the eventual triumphs. I believe in the power of transparency and authenticity. I share my journey in real-time, highlighting the importance of patience, perseverance, and faith. I’m not afraid to show the behind-the-scenes work, the late nights, and the self-doubt. It’s through these honest and vulnerable moments that I hope to connect with my audience and offer encouragement. I’m grateful for the opportunities that have come my way and I attribute them all to God’s grace. It’s my mission to use my platform to inspire others to pursue their passions, and share a little bit of my faith as well. In an industry that can seem like a lion’s den for a Christian, I strive to make a positive impact on the entertainment industry, sharing my faith and values with others, with all the glory for each and every opportunity to my creator.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is knowing that I’ve honored the dreams of my younger self or as my mother referred to as “the sparkly blue eyed dreamer”. This young boy lost friends for pursuing his true passions rather than conforming to fit in, but who always knew what they could accomplish through some hard work and a whole lot of dreaming! I feel that my growth is a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of staying true to oneself. One of my favorite movies is Disney’s “The Princess and The Frog”. There is a quote I often think of when chasing my dreams. “You wish and dream with all of your heart. But remember, that can only take you part of the way, you got to help it with some hard work of your own”. I’ve learned that dreams don’t materialize overnight; they require dedication, hard work, and a willingness to embrace the journey. Every challenge, every setback, has shaped me into the artist I am today. Another one of the greatest joys of being a creative is the freedom to express myself authentically. My commitment to a black and white color palette is more than just an aesthetic choice; it’s a reflection of my desire to challenge conventions and explore the complexities of life. This monochrome aesthetic allows me to invite my audience into a world of nuance and introspection. Ultimately, the most rewarding aspect is knowing that I’m living a life that’s uniquely mine. I’m grateful for the opportunity to inspire others to embrace their individuality and pursue their own artistic dreams, and maybe even show them God’s love through it. Out of all of these rewarding aspects, I know in my heart that the most rewarding part is knowing that my journey is a testament to the power of faith. I’m grateful for the opportunities that have come my way, and I’m humbled by the support of others. With God’s grace, I’m able to pursue my passions and make a difference.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My goal is to balance my career in entertainment journalism with my faith. I want to use my platform to share stories that entertain, inspire, and glorify God. It has always been my dream to have a front row seat to the world of pop culture. Here I am at age 20, and that dream has become a busting reality. From the humble beginnings of my dorm room after a long day of classes, it’s surreal to realize that, in just a few months, I’ve gone from dreaming about these moments to living them daily, interviewing both established icons and emerging talents. As Revelation 8:3 says “I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut.” I know who these doors have been opened by, and it is by God’s grace that I have been able to boldly walk through them. Each interview I conduct or post I make is a step in my ongoing journey of learning, growth, and self-discovery within this industry. I’m incredibly grateful for the support I’ve received from friends old and new, and I can’t wait to continue sharing my evolving media story with all of you.
