SubscribeWe were lucky to catch up with Jerrel Wade recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jerrel, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
The mission behind J-MONEY CLOTHING is for you to look and feel like money. Now with. That means when you wake up in the morning. And you’re getting ready to start your day. And you put on a J-MONEY T-shirt. It’s a representation to make you look like Money from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet? You wanna look good you wanna Feel good, so that’s our mission. And it means so much to me. Because I know how hard it is to stay positive in a negative World. So if it makes the person feel good just by putting on one of my clothing. Then that’s all the more meaningful for what we’re trying to do.

Jerrel, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
How I decided that I wanted to be a fashion designer in a business owner first started when I was in high school when I was in high school. I used to sell chips and drinks during the summer time. And there was a certain joy that I would get out of selling these items. And from there, it escalated into me going into customer service. Once I got out of high school. But I always had this certain feeling that I wanted to work for myself and make myself a boss. So it’s always been a few things that I like to do, customer service, I like to sell and I like to dress well. So when I wasn’t doing my customer service. I would always play video games and one of my favorite games that I used to play was grand theft auto. So when I wasn’t doing my customer service. Now with that game, it gave you a luxury to dress up a character any type of way. So what I would do is take 4 to 6 hours to just continuously dressing up my character in different clothing. From t-shirts, hoodies, hat’s etc. From the top to the bottom. And that would be my main mission in the game was just to dress my character up as much as possible. So I figured, Hey why don’t I try my hand in this fashion thing in real life and see where it gets me. Since I love to get dressed up myself. So from there , I just had to figure out a name for my brand and I remember back when I was younger. My family members would always call me Jay money. Because I would always look good in whatever outfit I was wearing at that time. So J-MONEY CLOTHING was born. Here at J-MONEY CLOTHING clothing, we like to provide t-shirts, hoodies, hat, etc. And we also do custom designs. What’s sets us apart from other clothing brands Is the variety of designs and variety of options that you get. I’m always most proud of the feedback that I get from the people. The feedback is always amazing and helpful on things I need to work on or things that I need to correct. My customers are quick to point out the mistake that I make. Without any ridicule or backlash And I appreciate the feedback. And that’s what I love the most about my customers. The main thing I want people to know about my brand. Is I work very hard to make sure that you look and feel like money that it’s not just a saying with me? It’s how I really feel. My job is to make you feel better every time you put on J-MONEY CLOTHING.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
How I build my audience? I was posting on my social media count every single day. Not only would I post every single day but I would do frequent raffles. Giving something away for free. Weather would be a T-shirt or a hat. It just gave the people a sense to come back for more. To come and check out my website and what I was offering. So I would tell any up and coming brand to post every single day. Whether you feel like you’re gonna get the love or not still post your content. Always.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source for myself as far as reaching new clientele and reaching new customers has been instagram. Instagram has taken my business to another level. From getting Manufacturers hitting us up everyday. Asking if they can make clothing for us to different artists and athletes asking to wear our brand. So, yes, Instagram has taken our business to another level. And it’s just continuing to grow. Also Facebook same thing that has also been a great source for new customers as well.
