We were lucky to catch up with Jerome MT recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jerome, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
A defining moment for me was being asked to officiate the Juneteenth Celebration and Cultural Gathering for the Hawaii Islands. Being a Black-Mexican boy from Houston, it was a humbling experience and an honor.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
As a child, the clairvoyant gifts were detected at an early age and i was educated in the spiritual wisdom of my parents and followed the traditions of Christian mysticism until finding deeper and broader understanding within the practices of Zazen, Orisha and ancestral wisdom. Today with over 30 years of experience in assisting, coaching, educating and facilitating spiritual development and ceremony. I humbly serve the needs of the global community at large. From individual readings to community building, restoration and empowerment; integrating Spirit into the natural world is a blessing I bare with limitless joy.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn Western Ideology and thinking. Its limitation of understanding prevents the innerstanding of natural human processing. It will happen to anyone who attempts to acculturate themselves to indigenous or natural cultures. This was a return to the natural mind I held as a child before accepting dogmatic and social beliefs as truth. This also meant the way in which i observed the world and myself needed to change. This process continues til this day but took a significant shift approximately 10 years ago when I decided to return to spiritual living.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Listening, observing, following, and imitating my elders as a personal practice and not to do for others. Learning to not do but to be. Learning to release the desire to serve while accepting the necessity and calling to do so. Prayer, Patience and Practice.
