Jermaine, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?

I hope to be remembered as a man who offered a platform for innovation, economic growth, and societal transformation within my community. Building a legacy as a successful entrepreneur not only brings personal success but also presents an opportunity to uplift others, particularly those from marginalized communities. By combining entrepreneurial skills with a focus on empowering children of color, it is my goal leave behind a lasting legacy of economic and social change. Mentorship plays a pivotal role in shaping aspiring entrepreneurs. I want to establishing mentorship programs that specifically target children of color who i can provide guidance, support, and valuable resources to. By sharing personal experiences like traveling, expertise, and business knowledge, aspiring young entrepreneurs can be equipped with the tools and confidence necessary to pursue their dreams. My legacy will not only benefit the present generation but also inspire and uplift future generations to travel the world, enabling them to embrace their creativity, realize their potential, and shape their own legacies of empowerment and change.

Jermaine, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I feel I am a remarkable individual whose diverse passions and entrepreneurial spirit which shaped my journey as a filmmaker (Lightrush Studios), real estate investor, and co-founder of the successful trucking company, Flash Cargo Express. With a profound love for music, I stumbled upon my true calling in the world of filmmaking, using visual storytelling as a means to express my creativity and empower my clients. Despite some of the challenges I’ve faced along the way, I’ve always kept an unwavering amount of determination and self-discipline which has been instrumental in my rise as a visionary filmmaker and entrepreneur. I’ve now had films on Amazon Prime and entered in countless film festivals which some have went on to be finalist and even winning 1st place as best director at Frostbite film festival. My commitment to storytelling is evident in my ability to captivate audiences and elicit emotional responses through my films. I have a keen eye for aesthetics, coupled with deep understanding of character development and narrative structure, which allows me to craft thought-provoking stories that resonate with audiences of all backgrounds. This is what I want to display through my travel films as well.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?

Self-help books have played a transformative role in my life, serving as a catalyst for personal growth and professional development. They have provided me with valuable insights, strategies, and tools to navigate the challenges of life and pursue my dreams as a filmmaker. These books have empowered me with a wealth of knowledge, fostering self-awareness, resilience, and a positive mindset. Through their wisdom and guidance, self-help books have instilled in me a sense of purpose, helping me overcome obstacles, cultivate self-discipline, and embrace my unique talents. By applying the principles and practices gleaned from these books, I’ve been able to unlock my full potential, fuel my creative endeavors, and navigate the complexities of the film industry with confidence and clarity. Self-help books have been a source of inspiration, pushing me to continuously strive for personal and professional excellence while maintaining a growth-oriented mindset. I firmly believe that my reputation within my market can be attributed to two key factors: self-discipline and great people skills. My commitment to self-discipline has enabled me to consistently deliver high-quality work, meet deadlines, and go above and beyond expectations. This level of discipline has not only earned me the respect of my peers and clients but has also helped me build a reputation for reliability and professionalism. Adding that I have exceptional people skills have played a significant role in establishing strong connections and fostering positive relationships. My ability to listen, empathize, and communicate effectively has allowed me to understand and meet the needs of my clients, collaborators, and industry partners. By combining self-discipline with great people skills, I’ve been able to forge a reputation as a talented and dependable filmmaker who not only delivers exceptional results but also cultivates meaningful and lasting connections within the industry.
