We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jeriesha Crutchfield . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jeriesha below.
Jeriesha, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My vision for Snapped Luxury Press On Nails is to complete the look without breaking the bank. Convenience and affordability is a plus, but quality and great customer service is definitely a must. These beautiful hand crafted artificial nails are made with hard working women in mind. Women who need style and luxury at an affordable price can count on Snapped Luxury Press On Nails.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
My name is Jeriesha Crutchfield and I’m the proud owner of Snapped Luxury Press On Nails located in Detroit, MI. I launched my press on nail business April 24, 2020 during the beginning of the Coronavirus Pandemic. Like most of the world social media was definitely an outlet for many. I would log on to Facebook and see so many women wanting their nails done to feel some sort of normalcy. So, that’s when the light bulb came on. I thought, “Let me put my love for nails and my 10+ years of working retail to use.” My main goal was to create nails that were great in quality, reusable, and affordable. These nails are created for women that desires convenience, style and luxury at affordable prices.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One thing that I definitely had to unlearn was knowing the worth of my work and product. I knew that my work was good and my product was great, but I wasn’t sure if people would feel the same. So, I had to get out of my own head, stay focused on my target audience and know that what I had to offer was well worth the price. I love my product and my work so that needed radiate through every aspect my business including the price. Once I got that part, it was on.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I use to be an Assistant Manager at women’s clothing store called Dots and it was my absolute favorite place to work… after Snapped Luxury Press On Nails of course. One thing that I loved about it was that we had to create this this “girl friend” experience. The goal was to make every customer feel like they were out shopping with their best friend. In turn, it gave the customers top tier service and it always brought them back for more. So, I took that same concept and used it for my brand in the since of making my customers feel like we’ve been friends forever. Some of my customers have become really good friends of mine. My time at Dots definitely played a role in how I service my customers.
