Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jeremy Mcmahon. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jeremy, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
producing and constructing instrumentals took time, trial and error, and perseverance. For as long as I can remember, going on fourteen years, I practiced subconsciously and consciously learned under my father, my sister and any other inspirations that were around. When I first started out however, the tools and equipment I had were hurdles in my process on improving in the craft. Having better equipment definitely could’ve sped up the process but what’s the fun in that? Despite sometimes being discouraged by the process, I still found it one the greatest things to witness firsthand. It never felt like I was trying too hard either. Some skills I found most essential for me was my perspective and how well I could improvise with what was given to me. I’ve been around all kinds of music my entire life and what I started with was hand me down flip phone, a voice recorder and my desk. it wasn’t the best and the quality of the beats I made didn’t sound very good either, but it taught me to enjoy the process and with a little effort you can create and do amazing things with little to nothing. As my perspective shifted are started looking at my obstacles as a means of improving and honing the craft but the one obstacle that probably still says hi every now and then was being comfortable. being comfortable with where I was, being comfortable with not improving, being comfortable with the same sound etc. It happens from time to time but that also signals me to get up and stop being comfortable when there’s improvements to be made.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My full name is Jeremy Mcmahon and of course many of you know me as either Jae or Jaeverse. I was a hip hop rap artist who has recently transitioned to being a beat producer and go by Sampleverse now. I’ve always been in this craft since I was little, but it wasn’t until my first performance as a rap artist back in 2016 that I started taking music seriously. Now I construct sampled instrumentals Hince the name, sampling some of your favorite artists today and using that to create something sensational for everyone around the world. Alot of producers are doing what I’m doing but what sets me apart from them is my song selection and memorable beat patterns. I like to create something brand new and use different kinds of music and sounds no one has ever used before. I’m mostly proud to say I am indeed on every platform you can think of including TikTok. Every beat tape I put out is going to be better than the last as i always and will forever keep improving the craft I love.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
oh, that’s simple… being finished with a project and being satisfied with it. Many artists including myself, often find it hard to finish a project simply because the drive seemed more important than the destination. The goal can seem lackluster at first, but I have grown to enjoy the ride and also enjoy the scenery when I arrive. there’s nothing greater than feeling finished and satisfied with how your project came out.

: Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to inspire and bring forth courage to the creative generation that’s after me and to let them know, no matter where you are, how you start, where you start, every step you take is growth, and a symbol of your hard work. always keep going and never ever get too comfortable.
