We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jeremy Kramer. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jeremy below.
Jeremy, appreciate you joining us today. Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?
As a content creator for so many other is it important for me to focus on my own social media presence as well. This is also hard to maintain over long periods of time. I have been on Instagram and other social platforms for over 10 years now and inspiration to maintain them comes and goes. For me I like to create personal work that inspires me to share on those platforms while also mixing in some client work. The key is to keep in fun for yourself and recognize that it a marathon not a sprint.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I have been in the commercial photography world for 14 years now. I got my start as a photo retoucher and assistant working for a variety of photographers here in Cincinnati and as I grew my personal connections I branched off on my own.
I love working and collaborating with people on about any sort of commercial project. Be it product or portrait based work. The variety of people and things that photography has brought me in touch with has been vast and that is one of my favorite parts of the business. I truly love the creative process, whether that is a big national brand or a small startup here in Cincinnati.
One of the main things that I think sets me a part from other photographers is my willingness to adapt and collaborate. I check the ego at the door and focus on what I can do to make a final image(s) feel true and connected to my client.
We offer photography and videography both locally and beyond. In studio or on location!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Resilience is something that you have to continually practice as a freelance artist. As times and tech changes you have to adapt and constantly be trying new ways to stay ahead of or at least with the curve. I have found that those slow times really test you and force you to think creatively. The pandemic in 2020 was a big eye opener for me personally as well. It highlighted how quickly things can change. Out of that came a change to my approach and how I maintain work relationships. Hold them close.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me there is no better feeling than delivering that final product to the client and then seeing it out in the world.
