We were lucky to catch up with Jeremy Carr recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jeremy, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you take vacations? Why or why not?
Yes, I do take vacations — and I consider them an essential part of being a sustainable and effective business owner. Time away allows me to reset, avoid burnout, gain perspective, and return with renewed clarity and creativity. The truth is, if your business can’t function without you for a few days, it’s not just exhausting — it’s risky.
That’s why I treat time off as strategically as any major initiative. It starts with building systems that support day-to-day operations and empowering a team I trust. I document key processes, clearly delegate responsibilities, and make sure everyone knows how to make decisions in my absence. I also rely on automation tools where possible, which helps maintain consistency and responsiveness even when I’m offline.
For entrepreneurs who feel like they can’t step away, I encourage starting with small breaks. Take a full day without checking emails or a weekend with minimal availability. It might feel uncomfortable at first, but it’s a learning opportunity: where are the gaps? What’s too dependent on you? Identifying those weak points is the first step in creating a more resilient, scalable business.
Ultimately, stepping away is not a sign of disengagement — it’s a sign of leadership. Your business should support your life, not consume it. Taking a break doesn’t slow your momentum — it strengthens it.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
For those who may not have heard of me or Arch Carts before, I’m the co-founder of a brand dedicated to elevating the guest experience from every angle—both in motion and in memory. Arch Carts is a luxury event service that specializes in premium transportation logistics, equipment rental, venue circulation solutions, mobile advertising, and separately high-end photography. Whether it’s a small private gathering or a multi-day, large-scale event, we handle the complexities so our clients can focus on delivering unforgettable experiences.
My journey into this space comes from a lifelong passion for intentional design, hospitality, and visual storytelling. We launched Arch Carts to solve a clear problem I observed in the event industry: transportation and logistics were often treated as afterthoughts, despite being critical to the flow, timing, and tone of the guest experience. Our goal is to bring elegance and organization to that space—turning movement into something seamless, elevated, and guest-centered.
Our core services include:
• Event transportation logistics that ensure smooth, on-time movement across venues and campuses
• Luxury cart and equipment rentals designed for comfort, style, and branding opportunities
• Venue circulation planning that enhances flow and minimizes stress for both guests and hosts
• Mobile advertising to extend your brand’s presence, both visually and physically
• Professional photography for weddings, couples, branding, corporate events, and fine art commissions—capturing moments that matter, in a style that complements the elevated tone of our transport work
My photography practice blends naturally with Arch Carts’ service philosophy: both are about presence, attention, and storytelling. Whether I’m documenting a couple’s love story, producing visuals for a luxury brand, or crafting visual art that stands alone, I approach each frame with the same commitment to style, substance, and emotion.
What sets me apart is the fusion of logistical precision with artistic vision. Few providers offer both the infrastructure to move an event and the eye to memorialize it. That unique duality allows Arch Carts to serve clients on multiple levels—with consistency, luxury, and care.
I’m most proud of the relationships we’ve built and the trust clients place in us to help shape moments that are meaningful, memorable, and beautifully executed. At Arch Carts, we don’t just support events—we become a seamless part of them.
To anyone considering working with us: whether you need thoughtful transit, timeless images, or both, Arch Carts delivers an experience rooted in hospitality, elevated design, and complete reliability.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I was first starting out back in 2016 with photography and video in 2016! I was hired to shoot a beautiful outdoor wedding in the Ozarks — golden hour ceremony, mountaintop reception, the whole dreamy aesthetic. It was a high-budget affair, and the couple was super sweet but had high expectations. I shot the entire day using two camera bodies, switching between lenses for candids and portraits. Everything seemed perfect.
After the wedding, I packed up my gear, drove home late, and dumped the SD cards onto my external hard drive — or so I thought. The transfer took longer than expected, and I was exhausted. I glanced at the file names, saw some RAW files there, and figured it was good. I deleted the cards to prep for another job the next day. No second thoughts.
A couple of days later, I sat down to start culling and editing… and realized only half of the files had actually transferred. Half. The bride getting ready? Gone. The ceremony? Half there. The groom’s tearful vows? Just… gone. My heart sank.
I tried every recovery tool, every data specialist. But the SD cards had been reformatted and partially overwritten — the files were corrupted beyond repair. I had to call the couple, own up to it, and offer a full refund and free sessions for life — but it didn’t matter. That moment? That day? It was lost. I couldn’t give it back.
But here’s what wasn’t lost: the lesson. The failure gutted me — and it could’ve broken me — but instead, it rebuilt me. From that day on, I became relentless about backups. I now store everything in triplicate: on-site, off-site, and in the cloud. I don’t even think about deleting a card until I know — without question — that every file lives safely in three places.
Pain taught me resilience. That mistake reshaped my entire workflow, and it’s probably saved me a dozen times since. So again, creators… y’all backing up your data?
We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
People often ask how I met Cody Wilkins. The short answer? Through a camera lens. The long answer? Through photography, grit, and a shared obsession with capturing motion—not just on film, but in life.
Before founding Arch Carts, I was immersed in the world of parkour, free running, photography, and videography, capturing everything from intimate weddings to urban landscapes. It was more than a passion; it was how I made sense of the world—by framing it, studying it, and telling its story through visuals.
My business partner, Cody and I first crossed paths during a creative shoot. At the time, we were both working independently—me as a visual storyteller, parkour and freerunning coach and Cody as a model with a sharp eye for detail and a natural ability to coordinate complex shoots. What started as a one-time collaboration turned into a series of joint projects. We quickly realized our creative instincts complemented one another: where I brought visual mood and narrative, he brought structure and vision. We weren’t just making content—we were building experiences.
Over time, the focus of our work began to shift. Clients started asking for more than just visuals; they needed help organizing events, mapping out experiences, and delivering something memorable. It became clear there was a gap in the market for a service that could merge luxury transportation logistics with immersive event planning.
That’s when the idea for Arch Carts was born.
Our shared background in photography and video taught us how to notice the small things—the details that elevate an experience from good to unforgettable. It taught us how to communicate, how to trust each other’s instincts, and how to manage high-pressure environments with creativity and calm. These are the same principles we bring to Arch Carts today.
What began as a creative collaboration has grown into a company built on vision, trust, and the belief that logistics can be artfully executed with the same care as a beautifully composed image.
Meeting Cody didn’t feel like a decision. It felt like focus clicking into place.
