We recently connected with Jeremiah Jacksun and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jeremiah thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
You know, the story behind the name “Know Your Platform” is really the story of my own journey, and how God took a simple idea and gave it a meaning so much deeper than I ever imagined. When God first prompted me to use that name for the podcast, I thought I understood it. I’ve always known He gave me a voice, and I first found it in music, rapping about my struggles. I learned early on that when you speak your truth, people hear their own lives in your words.
So in 2021, I started the podcast called “Know Your Platform.” My idea was to talk about our pain and our struggles to figure out where we stand in this world. I thought my platform was about my story and my experiences. And for a while, that’s what I did. I was speaking my truth, but it was a truth that was stuck in the problem. It started to feel like I was just describing the storm to people without ever showing them how to find shelter.
But little did I know that name was going to come to mean something so much bigger. This year, everything just flipped. I felt God completely redefine the entire show for me. He showed me that “knowing your platform” was never about where you stand in the world. It’s about where you stand with God. It’s about how He sees you, not how the world sees you. That was the shift I needed. It was time to stop talking about the struggle and start talking about the Solution, which is Him.
The path became so clear. “Know Your Platform” had to be about sharing His word and looking at life through a biblical lens. It hit me that our true, unshakable platform is our identity in Christ. While the world has lots of advice, we have the actual answer, a God who gave us scripture for everything we could ever face.
That shift changed everything. It stopped being about me and my story and started being about His wisdom. I always remember this one episode where God gave me the words to say, “Don’t focus on the opposition, they only want your position.” That was a “Know Your Platform” moment, it was all about understanding your God given position. When people responded, it was the confirmation I needed. It was a clear sign that God was using this to directly answer people’s questions.
And that is what this is all about for me now. My biggest hope is that when someone hits play, they do not just hear me talking. I want them to hear a word that shifts something in their spirit. I want someone to finish an episode and think, “You know what? Because I listened to this, I understand my platform in Christ. My relationship with God is better. I want to seek Him more.” I want them to truly understand, through scripture, that there is not a single thing in their life that God cannot handle. And finally, to learn to just cast all those cares on Him, because He truly, truly cares.
That is what it means to truly Know Your Platform. That is the message I am called to share.

Jeremiah , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My journey into this work began in the world of hip hop. From the time I was 13 or 14, I was writing music, and that was my first introduction to using my voice as a tool for expression and connection. It was where I learned to process my life and tell my story. That foundation in music naturally evolved into podcasting because, to me, they have always been synonymous. They are both about using your voice to share your truth with the world.
Today, that voice is the heart of “Know Your Platform,” which began as a podcast and is now evolving into a broader network. It is a weekly Christian faith and mental health podcast where scripture replaces self help.
This conviction, that scripture replaces self help, is the heartbeat behind everything we create. The podcast was our starting point, and now we are actively building it into a full fledged network. We leverage our platform and connections to offer the voices God brings to us a broader stage, getting them featured on other respected publications. For those we feature, it is not just about an interview. It is about amplification. We help them be seen and heard across multiple channels, weaving a stronger digital thread for their God given work and adding credibility to their purpose. We also have merchandise in development, with all of these offerings unfolding in God’s timing. The podcast is currently on a purposeful pause as we seek His direction for this next season, and we are still connecting with those who feel called to share their story with our community.
I started this platform with a focus on mental health, but from a place that was not fully rooted in Christ. Even with my training as a life coach, I saw that the advice I was giving was often just a Band Aid. It might help someone cope for a moment, but it did not offer the true deliverance and lasting change that comes only from a foundation in God’s Word.
That realization changed everything. “Know Your Platform” is now a brand and a community led by God in every decision. Our core mission is to ensure that everything we do is rooted firmly in Christ, because that is the only unshakable foundation.
So, what problem are we solving, and what sets us apart? In a world that often encourages us to blame others, we guide people to look toward God. It is through that relationship that He helps them look inside themselves with honesty and grace, to see what He wants to change within them and around them. The words I deliver on this podcast are drawn from that deep, living well from a spirit anchored in Christ. My goal is for these words to stir listeners, to unsettle them from complacency and draw them closer to Him. I want them to see that their life can be radically different because they are tapping into the purpose and destiny God created for them.
It is about a God led transformation that starts from within, renewing your thoughts, your perception, and your words. That internal shift, guided by the Holy Spirit, is what changes everything.
This entire shift in the podcast happened because God called me to use it to glorify Him. I used to focus so much on talking about my own emotions and pain, and I realized that by doing that, I was just encouraging people to focus on their negativity. I turned my words away from that. Now, I use them to give people a new game plan to help them begin to see themselves the way God sees them. I want them to know that where they are is not their end. With God, the sky is the limit, and you can go as far as He sees you going, which is so much further than you could ever see for yourself.
I am most proud of the way God has transformed this platform. We do not offer temporary fixes or self empowerment. We point directly to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as the source of all healing and purpose. What I want everyone to know is this: “Know Your Platform” is an invitation to build your life on the foundation God has for you. It is about discovering who you are in Christ and stepping into the platform He has given you, so that you can use it, in turn, to glorify Him.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
The best advice I can give is the only advice that works for me: it has to be Christ centered. For my network and my leadership, that is not just a preference. It is the essential foundation.
Without that, your driving force can get clouded by ego, the need to control, or the temptation to step on others to get ahead. I have seen how those things undermine morale.
But when Christ is the center, it changes the reason behind every decision. My role is not to dominate. It is to serve. The goal is not to manipulate. It is to build up.
From that foundation, the practical pieces fall into place. For me, a huge part of that is how you value people. As an owner, whether you manage the team yourself or have people who do it for you, you might look to cut costs in many areas. But the one place you cannot afford to cut corners is with the people who make your company what it is. You cannot underpay the very team you rely on and then expect them to operate at their best. Paying a decent, livable wage is not just a line item. It is a reflection of respect. It is about putting yourself in their shoes. We have all been there, and we know the stress of a wage that does not meet our needs.
So, for me, maintaining high morale comes back to this core principle. It is a Christ centered approach that means leading with service, valuing people with kindness, and ensuring they are treated with the dignity they deserve. It is the only thing that consistently works to build a team that is both productive and united in purpose.”

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
You know, it’s interesting. Looking back to when you all asked me this in 2022, my answer was different. I was searching everywhere for answers, and I talked about other books and philosophies I was exploring at the time.
What I understand now is that my lukewarm walk back then didn’t allow me to see the full picture. I’ve come to realize that the Bible wasn’t just becoming the answer; it had always been the answer. I just hadn’t fully arrived at that understanding yet.
So I can truly say now, with all certainty, that the most impactful resource for me is the Bible. It is the answer for me now, and I know it’s the only answer that will ever hold true for me going forward. It’s become the true north for my life and my work.
What I finally saw is that while those other resources were interesting, they weren’t the anchor I needed. My life was in need of something deeper. I was in need of real wisdom. The Bible says that “wisdom is the principal thing,” and that truth clicked into place. I saw that if I was going to serve people well through the “Know Your Platform Podcast”, which has now grown into a network, I first needed that wisdom to get my own life in order. So I began to truly seek God through His Word, not as a mere habit, but because I genuinely needed a new perspective.
That journey through scripture changed my entire mindset. It moved me from a place of passive belief to a life of active application. I learned to stop dwelling on my wounds and my past, and I started to understand how to transform that pain into a genuine purpose.
A powerful truth that guides me now is this: **Your scars can become someone else’s stars. Your pain can become someone else’s gain.** My experiences were meant to become a comfort to others on a similar path. They can look at my journey and see that if God brought me through, He can do the same for them.
This understanding is now the bedrock of Know Your Platform.” My approach comes from a truth I’m living out now, not a strategy from a textbook. My faith, built on the Word of God, is what took me from simply believing to purposefully building and serving.
