We were lucky to catch up with Jeremiah Cummings recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jeremiah, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about how you’ve thought about whether to sign with an agent or manager?
Yes, I have an agent I’m signed with Bellah modeling agency and my agent name is Donna Bellah. I also, have a manager with Smith International and my manager name is Tammie Smith.
I met my agent earlier this year and I decided to go with this company because I saw this company run as a family not as much as talent and agent. I like the professionalism and how they always put the talent first. As well as offering coaching and classes which is a big deal in this industry.
My manager I’ve been with for about 2 years and I decided to go with this company because I saw there potential of marketing and branding me. Keeping me informed of what’s going on in the industry.
Both my manager and agent saw potential in me as a dedicated and passionate artist willing to stay on top of my craft , teachings and coaching and they saw that I had more potential to grow and willing to work with me to become a working actor.
I’m very pleased at the choices I made in my career ,choosing an agent and a manager that you must have that great relationship with them in order for your team to grow . Communication is key Factor in a successful career.

Jeremiah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a Film and TV actor based out of Savannah, GA.
I recently appeared on TV One Fatal Attraction true crime series(2022).
Jeremiah attended Savannah Technical College where I received a Manufacturing Specialist Certification. After working 10 years in the industrial industry. I found my love for the art of acting . I pursued acting and training with coaches like Mike Pointer , Wendy Alane Wright of Hollywood Winners Circle and Landon Whitmire.
A few years later, I got my starting recurring role as a sheriff Crisp working with actress Patricia Arquette and Joey King in The Act(2019).
Later that year, I played as 1940s barber in the film The Glorias (2020) working with actress Julianne Moore.
Though the years a worked on shows and films like Blacklightning , The Underground railroad , Friendgence, Salvage Revenge and The whispers .
One thing about me I’m a very hardworking ,kind-hearted person and willing to help anyone who in need of guidance who wants to make it in this industry. I feel there’s room for everyone to grow in acting or any industry you just have to believe in yourself and be confident in what you do. Sometimes we are our biggest critics when it becomes to wanting to reach our goals. We get sidetrack or distractions get in your way. You just have to stay focused on what you want out of life. Once you change your mindset and believe in yourself and trust in God . Nothing can stop you from reaching your true potential.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Yes there are many resources available that can help you in your career. I mainly like to read self management for actors by Bonnie Gillespie, the power of the actor by Ivana Chubbuck these are my go-to books.
You can also sign up for Wendy Alane Wright Hollywood Circle course . This course teaches everything about the business of acting .She’s a wonderful teacher and a great friend I recommend her class and course.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
On social media the one thing I learned about in building yourself is you got to let everyone know you are a real person. What I mean by that is you got to show your vulnerable side and be relatable. People could post things on social media that has nothing to do with anything like meaningless content and some of it is cool and funny but it’s missing substance.
To get people to gravitate towards what you’re putting out to get a fan base everybody loves a good singer , actor or whatever your talent is. People like to see the real you and if you’re not connected with the people on a personal level sometimes it makes people not listen to your story because they think you’re being too fake.
They love to see your success stories on social media but they also want to know your pain ,your sadness just to let them know you’re a person too just like them that’s what I mean by being relatable and vulnerable . That’s how you build your fan base and audience.
