JT, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

It all starts with an idea. An idea to become something greater. Most can’t see it and fewer will believe in it. But all it takes is one. One person. You. This was what I told myself when I started my journey. From performing at open mic nights in front of a handful of people to sharing the stage with Grammy Award winning legends. You gotta take that risk. Even when no one says you can do it, prove them wrong.

JT, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I began my journey at a young age surrounded by a talented family. As I grew older I too took an interest in my craft. I learned, studied and acquired the knowledge, skills and information that led me to where I am today. It was a mixture of curiosity and ambition that cultivated the confidence to go forward. Grow, explore, and experiment. You will fail. A lot… but keep going! Never quit. Every person you meet is an opportunity to expand your brand!

Have you ever had to pivot?

At the beginning of my career I focused heavily on rapping and remixing songs in order to gain a fan base. However I reached a point where that success became temporary. Once I started focusing more on RnB I found more success. It was an interesting change in genres but a necessary one. Greater doors and opportunities opened up because of the switch, everything comes into alignment at the right time.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Consistency is key. Continue to provide your market with quality content and use feedback to improve your results. There is always room to increase your productivity. Work hard, be efficient, watch observe and listen. There is always room to learn. Be teachable.
