Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jeorgia Rose. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jeorgia , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
I recently released my debut album “Blooming,” a project that has been around 2 years in the making and marks a personal chapter in my life. Over that time, I poured my heart into these songs, capturing my experiences and emotions as I navigated moments of growth and change. The title “Blooming” felt like the perfect way to describe the journey, starting from a place of uncertainty, weathering life’s challenges, and eventually blossoming into a stronger, more self assured version of myself. The songs came together in pieces, written across Nashville, LA and the UK; I loved creating this album with so many of my friends and the album truly came to life when I recorded it in Nashville. Blooming tells the story of what it means to find your way through life’s uncertainties, and for me, it captures the pivotal time of growing from being a teenager to stepping into adulthood. This album is not just a collection of songs to me, it’s the beauty of learning who you are and accepting change. I’m so proud to share it with the world.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Music has always been at the centre of my life, and my journey into the industry started when I began writing songs around the age of 13. I would sit for hours, pouring my emotions into lyrics and melodies, slowly discovering how powerful music could be as an outlet and a way to connect with others. As I grew, I started playing shows and sharing my original songs, which opened the door to some incredible opportunities. Some of the highlights have been performing at iconic venues like The Bluebird Cafe and The Listening Room in Nashville, where so many of my musical heroes once stood, as well as playing some amazing spots back home in the UK, like The Cavern Club. Along the way, I’ve been very fortunate to meet so many talented writers and producers who have not only inspired me but have also helped me grow as an artist. By late 2022, everything really started to come together when I met my incredible management team. They saw something in me that I sometimes struggled to see in myself and have been instrumental into helping me take my career to the next level. I’m so grateful for every step of the journey so far and I’m so excited to see what else the future holds.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
In my opinion the simplest yet most powerful thing anyone can do to support artists is just to listen to your music and share it. Streaming songs, adding them to playlists, and telling friends or family about new music helps to amplify the reach and introduces the art to new audiences. Engaging on social media by liking, commenting and sharing posts also plays a massive role in spreading the word and building a community. Attending live shows is another great way to support, whether it’s small gigs or bigger performances. Personally, I think seeing familiar and faces in the crowd makes all the difference to artists. For those who are able to, obviously purchasing music, merch, or tickets is a direct way to contribute, as these help sustain a creative’s career.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I think the most rewarding aspect of being an artist for me is seeing people connect with my songs in a real and meaningful way. Growing up, I remember how much Taylor Swift’s earlier albums impacted me; it felt like she had taken my thoughts and emotions I couldn’t quite put into words and turned them into songs. Knowing that somebody else out there feels the same way about my music is such a comforting and warm feeling, and that’s always what I have always wanted to create for people. So when someone tells me that a song of mine resonates with them, or that it helped them through a tough time, it almost feels like the ultimate reward. Another kind of surreal and incredible feeling for me is playing live shows and seeing people sing along to my songs in the crowd. Those moments remind me of why I started my music journey in the first place.
