We were lucky to catch up with Jenny’s Island recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jenny’s thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I think success has a lot to do with faith & hard work. You need to have %100 of both to get to where you’re going because trust me it gets hard. Some days you’re going to feel like your best is not enough and that’s when faith is going to have to step in to make you feel like I may not be getting the results i want now but i believe I will one day. Patience also plays a big part as long as you have the goal in mind and you never stop working towards your success will come.
Jenny’s , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Jenny, i am a 22yr makeup artist based out of Fort.Lauderdale, Fl. I’m a young entrepreneur who is goal driven & dedicated to making my dreams come true. Not only do i provide makeup services but i also sell lashes, lip scrubs & weight gain products. I have an online store www.jennysisland.net where i provide fast & worldwide shipping. I don’t only sell these products but i believe in these products, well i am the products. Anything i have listed on my website i personally used so when i am providing reviews to potential clients it is from personal experience. I want everyone to feel welcomed in my shop & i look forward to providing every customer exceptional service. The goal is for my clients to leave feeling beautiful & even more confident in their own skin.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Honestly i have plenty of stories about my resilience but the one that’s constant in my line of business is trying not to give up. There are some many days that i get sad because my business is not doing good, months i barely get clients & times where I’m not in the mood to keep going. Those are really some of the hardest days of my life and the only way to snap out of it is to block all the negativity. Once i get through that phase of doubting my self i sit down & brainstorm some of best ideas & ways to keep pushing. I literally have to speak positive affirmations to myself even if i don’t believe in the moment. Even i fall down i always get back up & keep pushing that’s what i love most about myself.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for me is just me promoting my own brand to almost everyone i run across. I used to be scared to mention my business to people until i realized that most of my clients came from me just letting people know what services/products i provide. You really got to just throw yourself out there & trust it does pay off.
