We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jenny Teeters a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jenny, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission is to help leaders who are at a turning point—those moments when something’s no longer working and you know you can’t keep going the way you have been. I help them reinvent not just their careers, but how they see themselves, so they can lead with clarity and live with real fulfillment.
That mission comes straight from my own story. I spent 30 years in corporate tech leadership, earned an Executive MBA, and studied organizational leadership—but none of that taught me what it really means to reinvent your life when everything falls apart. I’ve been through it more than once. The most recent reinventions were going from rock bottom to being back and better than ever, and then from employee to entrepreneur. Those weren’t just career pivots; they were full-life resets. And they showed me that reinvention isn’t a luxury—it’s a lifeline.
We don’t lead just for ourselves. We lead for the sake of others. Leadership is a responsibility, and when we answer the call to grow, heal, and become the best version of ourselves, we do it not only for our own sake—but to serve those who count on us. That’s what makes this mission matter.

Jenny, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My work centers on helping high-achieving professionals—especially those in transition—find clarity, confidence, and direction when they’re at a personal or professional crossroads. Through my two businesses, Jenny123.com and JennyTeeters.com, I offer executive coaching, leadership development, reinvention programs, and workplace consulting for individuals and organizations ready to grow.
My path here wasn’t linear. I spent over 30 years in corporate leadership, working for companies like Zoom, Cisco, HPE, Fortinet, and Frontier Communications. Along the way, I earned an Executive MBA, became a certified coach multiple times over, and built a deep foundation in organizational leadership and business transformation. But what truly brought me into this work wasn’t a title or degree—it was lived experience. I’ve gone through my own reinventions—some by choice, others by necessity. From hitting rock bottom to coming back stronger than ever, and from employee to entrepreneur, every step has shaped how I show up to serve others now.
I created JennyTeeters.com to support individuals—especially women—who are navigating reinvention and ready to align their personal growth with professional impact. My ASCEND™ coaching program, speaking engagements, workshops, and resources are designed to help clients grow into who they’re meant to be—not just who they’ve been told they are. For companies and organizations, Jenny123.com provides consulting and coaching programs that elevate culture, leadership, and recovery-ready practices in the workplace.
Whether I’m working with a corporate team, an emerging leader, or a business owner wrestling with what’s next, I’m focused on helping people reconnect to their purpose, take ownership of their next chapter, and lead with integrity. The people I work with often feel stuck, invisible, or like they’ve outgrown their current environment—but they’re not sure how to take the next step. That’s where I come in. I help them remember who they are, reclaim their confidence, and rise into the leader they were always meant to be.
What sets me apart is that I’ve lived this work. I don’t coach from a script—I coach from experience. I’ve been in the boardrooms, navigated layoffs, rebuilt my life, and started over with nothing but faith and grit. My clients trust me because I’ve walked the road they’re on.
What I’m most proud of isn’t the titles or certifications—it’s the transformation I get to witness in others. I’m proud that I didn’t give up on myself, and now I get to help others do the same. I want people to know that it’s never too late to change direction, to find your voice again, or to lead in a way that feels like freedom. If you’re ready for that kind of journey, that’s what my work is here to support.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One of the clearest examples of resilience in my life is the journey I walked through addiction and recovery. There was a season where, despite all the outward success—career, credentials, accolades—I was falling apart on the inside. Addiction stripped away every illusion of control and forced me to face everything I’d buried under performance and perfectionism. It brought me to my knees. And in many ways, that rock bottom became the foundation for something entirely new.
What followed was the hardest and most important work of my life. I rebuilt from the inside out. I got honest. I asked for help. I learned to live differently—not for appearances, but for peace. That’s why I say I’ve lived reinvention. It’s not just something I teach—it’s something I’ve survived.
This month actually marks the one-year anniversary of my book, Every Day is a New Day: A Story of Faith, which tells the story of that chapter in my life. Writing it was vulnerable, but it was also healing. And it’s become a way for me to reach others who are struggling silently, especially those who wear the mask of “holding it all together” while carrying deep pain underneath.
That season of my life reminds me that resilience isn’t about pretending to be strong. It’s about choosing to rise when you feel weakest. It’s about showing up again—and again—and again. That’s why I do the work I do now. Because I know what it’s like to lose your voice… and I know how powerful it is when you finally get it back.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for me has been showing up in spaces that truly align with my values and letting people see me in my zone—whether I’m speaking, facilitating, or simply contributing with heart. Groups like The Tepeyac Leadership Initiative (TLI), my local Chamber of Commerce, and past colleagues from my corporate roles have been powerful connections. Many of my clients have come from those relationships—not because I was selling something, but because they witnessed me leading with purpose and sharing my story authentically.
On the tactical side, LinkedIn has been a steady space for organic connection. I post content I genuinely care about—topics like leadership, reinvention, and recovery—which naturally draws the right people in. I also create and deliver talks around those themes, and when someone hears me speak and resonates with the message, it often opens the door to deeper conversation and eventually, coaching.
As a new full-time entrepreneur, I’m still in learning and experimenting mode. I stay close to my own growth by continuing to receive coaching myself, and I stay connected to service through SCORE.org, where I’m both a mentor and a mentee. It’s a balance of giving back while staying sharp—and that grounded approach has helped me build trust and attract clients who are ready for transformation.
