Hi Jenny , thanks for joining us today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?

I run my own social media, I have my fun hair account @madamwiggles and my strictly business account @bigwigbar. I luckily have experience in social media management, and enjoy interacting with everyone!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I make fun and funky wigs and hair extensions! I’ve always been hair-centric, and changed my hair frequently over the years. I love the thought of being able to change your hair daily, and it’s totally possible. BigWig Bar helps people be their best hair-centric selves! Being able to give yourself a makeover, short or long term, in the comfort of their own home. We offer ready to ship or custom clip in bangs, long luxurious ponytails, clip in extensions and full wigs.
What sets my wigs apart are not only the eye catching colors but I also hand tie individual hairs to the wig. This process is called ventilating. It is very time consuming but it creates the most realistic hairline. Think Beyoncé and Ru Paul!

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

There’s many accounts that have bought their followers but I believe in building an organic audience. I have experience in social media but I am still fairly new to creating content. Being consistent and active is my best advice. Follow pages that are in your field, that inspire you and engage with them. Engage with potential clients/customers!

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.

With every order I send out I include a satin bag for the hair, a business card, a pop socket with my logo, and a hand written note. People seem to appreciate the hand written note! I also set a reminder (in case it slips my mind) to send a follow up message. I like to see how everything worked out for them and also remind them to lace a review.
