Jenny, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

Divine Pearl Collective’s mission is to raise awareness of holistic healing modalities by elevating small businesses in the holistic wellness industry, offering accessible business & marketing mentorship, networking opportunities and educational workshops.

The idea for co-creating a safe container for collaboration and growth was born from divine guidance while on retreat in Sedona with my business partner while sitting in a meditation inside one of the Energy Vortex locations in the Red Rocks.

Embarking on a spiritual awakening led me to see that I could run a soul-led business and leverage my marketing background to the holistic healers that played an instrumental role in helping me heal from corporate burnout. Many of the hypnotherapy, reiki, and naturopath doctors I met along the way often expressed their business challenges were related to generating new leads and recurring business, finding the right offer, program and price for services, being bogged down by marketing execution tasks, technical limitations, and competitive overlap in the market. It was as if all the skills I had learned in my career offered the perfect intersection to create a solution for a need in the wellness market.

Jenny, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Originally from Miami, FL, as a first generation Cuban American, raised by immigrant parents, I didn’t have the opportunity to be inspired by a successful women-owned business.

Graduating in the top 5% of my 800 student graduating high school class and getting a full scholarship to FIU to study Communications, I had the drive, and street and book smarts to outwork anyone in the room. As I continued to grow in my career, achieving an MBA in 2011, I was headhunted by Amazon while working at Ryder Transportation, and moved to Seattle in 2016.

After 5 years at Amazon, I looked back at my 18 year career and found myself lacking purpose, experiencing burnout, and health issues that led me to seek holistic healing practices like Hypnotherapy, Energy Healing and Plant Medicine. It changed my life.

For the first time ever, I began to learn how to tap into myself, understand and heal my triggers, while being divinely guided to bring awareness and elevate the holistic healing business that made an impact in my spiritual awakening and healing journey, with accessible marketing support.

As a lifelong learner, I felt called to explore the healing modalities directly, achieving certifications in Yoga, Reiki, Sound Healing, and Shamanic Practices and offer services through a second business: New Earth Dreamz.

Have you ever had to pivot?

As the first person in my family to speak English, let alone graduate college, I was determined to live the American Dream and for me that meant, continuing to climb the corporate ladder from one Tech Giant to the next. Until, I realized that wasn’t the American Dream at all. The real flex was having the freedom to manage your time and do it in a way that helps the human collective and feels so rewarding you can hardly even call it work.

When I was laid off in November 2022, I had the intuition that getting that next corporate job wouldn’t be as easy, and realized I had been granted an amazing gift by the universe. The gift of time.

Time to heal from corporate burnout, focus on my own healing, and network with other women entrepreneurs in the wellness space and start to conduct competitive research to begin to formulate the offerings that would become part of Divine Pearl Collective.

For the first time in my life, I had the courage to take a risk on myself in an effort to find ways to make a living doing what I loved! So many others had too, why couldn’t I? I could leverage my business and marketing expertise to support women trying with a similar mission to help raise conscious awakening. And so I did.

A thriving community of 50 members + 25 local business partners, brand merchandising, a team of virtual assistants, an intern mentorship program, several podcast and media features and more in the works, this is just the beginning. In the next few years, I see Divine Pearl Collective opening a healer co-op + healing center, plus writing a book!

Pivots aren’t closed doors, they’re just redirections into new journeys and opportunities. And the best part is, I want to pay it forward. I want to extend a hand to the next Latina looking to find her entrepreneurial niche. There’s room for all of us!

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Organic Word of Mouth has been the #1 driver for new leads and conversions into the membership program.

I make it a point to truly connect with the women in the network beyond sublevel interest. I really show up for them, for their events, engaging with their content, providing feedback, new ideas, and introducing them to others that might help them in their journey. I truly take a stake in supporting their business success, because if they succeed, then we succeed together!

We truly believe that working together, we make a bigger impact. When we release the need to be competitors, we become allies, new connection points, learning new modalities, collaborating on initiatives.
