Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jenny Klossner. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jenny , thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
I have always been a risk taker. One big risk I took, was to change my career. when I was well established. As a former elementary school teacher with a master’s degree in education, I thought I would be a teacher forever. As a teacher I turned to yoga to remedy stress, back pain, and personal challenges. My Yoga practice was transformational physically, mentally, and emotionally and fell in love with it. So, I took a big risk despite letting go of the high pay, excellent medical insurance, and security to pursue my new passion of teaching yoga.
I started my Yoga Training while I was still teaching and taught my first class at night. As students shared their positive experiences, it confirmed that I was on the right path. So, I completed additional trainings to build my knowledge and skills so I can better serve my students. At about that time, I got married and moved to Calabasas. I found teaching opportunities at various places and was a full time Yoga Instructor.
A second risk I took was starting my own business. When the pandemic started, my students asked if I would offer classes online. I remember saying no because I didn’t feel that I was tech savvy. They persisted, so I learned how to use Zoom and started my own business, Jenny’s Healing Yoga in 2020.
A third risk I took was going back to school to become a Yoga Therapist. I have a desire to help clients one-on-one to address any personal concerns and what is most important to them, whether it’s low back pain, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, insomnia, etc. I started the Yoga Therapy Training at LMU, Loyola Marymount University, back in 2000 and will soon be a certified Yoga Therapist through IAYT, International Association of Yoga Therapists.
I am grateful to have listened to my still small voice, and to take risks to purse my passions, dreams. I am grateful to use the talents, knowledge, and skills I have gained to be of maximum service to others!

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My students have shared that they have been injured in other Yoga and/or fitness classes. They have felt safe and well taken care of in my classes. My business has grown through word of mouth. I also stand out because the classes are accessible and I offer different variations for a posture/exercise. It is my goal to make the benefits of Yoga and fitness available to every “body” regardless of age, experience, and/or physical limitations.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I send out bi-monthly newsletter offering health and wellness tips, class or workshop updates, and exclusive discounts. I offer a tier pricing model, so the classes are financially accessible. I do my best to respond to emails and answer any questions or concerns in a timely fashion. I believe in offering excellent customer service and following the Golden Rule–“Treat others the way you want to be treated.”
