Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jenny Doyle. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Jenny thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
I feel like life should be a risk. God gives us all gifts to use for the good of one another and humanity. I know that when people are at the end of their lives, they always have the regret of wishing that they took the chance and did whatever passion they had or thing in their heart. For me, this translates into business ideas and they pop into my head at 3-4am, waking me up. This is how I created our work barn which is a 5,000 square foot space that is more a multi-lounge space that our team allows anyone to use for good in the world. Prior to real estate, I started a bar in Athens, Ga to sell my art and have fun. Within a week, it was the busiest bar in Athens and stayed that way until tear down of the building. Upcoming, I am finally starting the non profit called “Paint with a Purpose’ that I have known for 25+ years that the world needs to help public school children emotionally thrive. At this time, I am working on the web development of a new e-commerce site called WallSwag, bringing together interior designers and artists. I know in my soul that both will make the world brighter!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My motto is ‘think positively and live generously’. This approach to life keeps things rainbows and butterflies and if you hit a pitfall or curve, you are able to understand that in the end, it will be for your benefit. Looking at life in retrospect as we progress and facing adversity helps us all to grow as well as gain perspective and perspective gives both peace and understanding. Be thankful for life’s highs and lows and know above all, everyone has a purpose. Stay humble, stay happy and remind yourself every day just how much you have to be thankful for. I wake up every day, look at my client list, think about what I would want done for me if I were them- and then do it.
I am a creative by nature so helping a builder design homes is what sparked my interest for real estate. I like people and am happy doing real estate or any other job as long as I can be independent. With work, I am more like a shape shifter- happy any where or any industry and will adapt/find the best in it that I can.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
Dana, our team lead buyer agent, co-runs our team. She is the only person that has bought a home from me via open house in 22 years of real estate. I am clairvoyant so feel things differently than most people. She walked in and I knew this was the person for the home but not until later did I realize she was also the person that I would trust most to co-run my business. What a blessing!
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My reputation is built on positivity and putting others first. I always will give to make it work if we are at a stopping point in a transaction. I have been given the gift of empathy so can feel people emotions. I have also researched and leaned into body language of others to fully see situations of negotiation and sales in a way that I feel many have not. We also make it a point to do all of the out of the box things. 60-70% of our buying side sales are off market, helping our clients and differentiating us in the industry. Staying positive and informative on social media solidifies our approach to life and clients.
