We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jenny Chase . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jenny below.
Hi Jenny , thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I have been an agent in fashion for the last 25 years marketing, designing and distributing primarily Italian brands, but more recently Indian collections. I have had the privilege of working with some of the most famous handmade luxury brands in the world. In a time when our creativity and human handmade touch is being threatened by fast fashion and AI I am dedicated to the preservation of the original fashion medium. Clothing and accessories represent our self expression and our coat of armor. They tell a story of our beliefs and our creativity. In January 2023 I opened a store in Venice Beach called Boheme 1817 Lincoln Blvd in Venice. The store is a collection of all of the brands that I distribute in the country and the world. It is my labor of love and our mission to preserve the art of hand made luxury.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m drawn to brands with strong artistic abilities.”
Jenny Chase, Manhattan Magazine
I opened my eponymous multi-brand designer showroom twenty five years ago. I specializes in introducing emerging international collections into the luxury market.
I have launched and or worked with promoting, marketing, and distributing distinguished labels in Europe, Asia, Canada, and the USA.
I currently market and sell my collections to top-tier boutiques and department stores both in the U.S. and worldwide, working with a tightly curated selection of talented designers, artists, and artisans.
I also specializes in developing brands that are invested in giving back to their communities. I design a cashmere collection that donates a portion of proceeds to happy-children.de, an organization committed to taking Nepalese children off the streets and out of slavery. I also designs a clothing collection in Delhi where a portion of the proceeds helps to feed children in a school in central India.
All of these products can be found at Boheme.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
During the pandemic, when it was impossible to travel, I spent most of my time in Los Angeles, working with clients remotely via zoom. As a result, I closed my New York Showroom and opened Boheme in Venice with a showroom in the back room. Now I organize a tradeshow in New York biannually called @formshownyc to work with our domestic and foreign wholesale customers.

Any fun sales or marketing stories?
I started @formshownyc 12 years ago when I noticed most of the customers were coming to New York for one week each season. So it didn’t make sense to pay for a showroom in New York for the whole year. In fact it really paid off and now we are busier than ever during that week.
