We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jennifer Zamora. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jennifer below.
Hi Jennifer, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
In starting this business, I reached out to friend and fellow photographer, Samantha. We had a phone call where Samantha kindly shared all of her experience and advice as a part time photographer. Her advice when naming the business is to remember the why in your story. For me, the why is: time moves so fast, and these tiny details don’t stay tiny for long; My desire is to freeze that time and savor every little tiny detail for generations to come. So there you have it the birth of ‘Tiny Details Photography’
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
In 2013 I was blessed with a new baby girl, and having had professional experience as a photographer, I attempted to take my own posed newborn photos of my sweet new bundle. After three days of attempting, through tears of frustration, I learned that newborn photography was no cake. My struggle inspired me to provide a service that preserves all of life’s Tiny Details for other mama’s. I have since had years of experience and ongoing continued training to deliver your family beautiful timeless photos and products that can be treasured for generations to come.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
I am very fortunate to work closely as a mentee for some of the biggest names in newborn photography. I always have someone to reach out to and ask questions, get advice and even to collaborate with. One of my favorite parts is the comradery with the other mentees. I am a part of several book clubs that focus on a business mindset. My favorite read to date is ‘F U Money’
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Consistency is really the key to building a reputation. When starting out it can be hard to find a rhythm, but working out a daily/weekly/monthly to do and staying on top of marketing can really build your brand. For me it started with working with clients I love and sharing images I couldn’t wait to share. Sharing on all platforms can really help your reputation. I find that sharing to national social groups helps to get my company name out and helps my overall recognition. I since have found a perfect rhythm of sharing my sessions and showing insights that continues to build up my reputation.
