We were lucky to catch up with Jennifer Wolff recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jennifer thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
I have had a few meaningful projects in my time as a Digital Artist, putting my soul and heart into each one. The best one I can mention is the art for a Children’s book my friend wrote; “What Do You Do With a Wailing Baby?” A sea shanty. It was my first project of that size, and to be able to work alongside a dear friend and help her dream become a reality was such a marvelous gift. I was honored she had picked me for something so important to her.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I got into this industry by pure accident! My mother noticed my love of drawing when I was 10 years old and went out of her way to get me my first ever tablet. From there, it’s been a spiral of succession. I’ve been a self taught artist my entire career, and I sell mostly personalized pieces that cater to whatever my client asks for.
From original character design, to characters from TV shows, to beloved pets; I’ve drawn it all!
I am most proud of how far I have come for someone who really only does personal art. It’s rare for someone of my ability and skills to get as many followers and commissioners as I do have; while it’s not an insane amount, I am blessed by those I do have, and I appreciate every single one of them!
My goal is to make my commissioners dream become a reality in any way I can. I work hard to ensure that what they are asking for is exactly what is delivered to them, if not better!

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
There is a goal I have! I want to create my own book series some day. A comic, if you will, but with more pages. I have had this idea for a very long while on how it will go, the setting, the characters, and the important plot that would give hope to those who read it.
It would inspire young creatives to not give up. To continue their journey. It would show those who are afraid to be themselves that it was okay, and that they would be accepted by those who truly care about them for who they are. It would give strength to those who are fighting a hard battle. Support and love.
That is my goal.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
The best thing that society can do to support artists and creatives, in my opinion, is to understand them. Currently there is an issue going around where folks are using AI to generate images, but they do not grasp why this is harmful to artists. I think if they would sit and listen to what we have to say, instead of immediately taking it as an attack on themselves, it would make our creative ecosystem so much better.
