Hi Jennifer , thanks for joining us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?

Liv for Cakes streams from my daughter’s name Olivia, a.k.a, Liv. It also streams from my love for both her and for baking.

Hi world! My name is Jennifer, and I’ve owned Liv for Cakes Miami for 7 years! I have always had a deep passion for creating beautiful, delicious treats that not only satisfy a sweet tooth but also spark joy and creativity in the kitchen. I began my journey into the baking world 7 years ago messing around for friends and family. What started as a hobby quickly grew into something much more, and I’ve been fortunate enough to turn my passion into a full-fledged business.

At Liv for Cakes, I specialize in cake designs and all treat confections! Whether I’m creating an intricate wedding cake, or your kids 5th Birthday cake , I put my heart into every detail to make sure each client feels like they’ve received something truly special.

What sets me apart from others in the baking world is my commitment to creating custom and personalized experiences. I believe that cake is meant to be shared, savored, and celebrated, and I take great pride in providing a product that becomes a memorable part of any event or celebration. I work closely with my clients to ensure their vision comes to life, whether it’s for a wedding, birthday, corporate event, or just because.

I’m most proud of the connections I’ve made with my clients and the fact that I’ve been able to bring joy to so many people through my work. The feedback I get from clients who are delighted by a cake I’ve made for them is what keeps me motivated every day. It’s not just about baking—it’s about creating memories.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Word of mouth, for sure! Happy Customers, Happy Life! Also, the relationships i’ve formed with party planners, photographers, ect ! A good work ethic/ relationship with your customers will always bring them right back! My customers/work do all the promoting for me!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

I think most bakers can agree that every weekend illustrates just how
much resilience us bakers have! LOL.
Especially during a holiday.
I always remind myself that resilience is about showing up and pushing forward, even when things seem impossible, and second, that perfection isn’t always the goal—it’s about doing your best and delivering a product that’s made with love and care. I’ve since learned to manage my time more effectively and to ask for help when I need it!
