Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jennifer Verbanc . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jennifer , appreciate you joining us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.

I have always been intuitive even as a child. I experienced my first premonition dream at just 9 years old and had convinced myself for decades that I made the whole thing up. I didn’t quite understand my gifts then and at times I still don’t. My adolescence was fairly normal with only the occasional glimpses of psychic abilities. At the time I believed it was just mere coincidence that I would just know certain things without explanation. It wasn’t until the year 2020 that I realized how uniquely gifted I really was. That year was difficult for so many and for me one of the worst years of my life. I lost my Mom that September and my world was so upside down. Not only was I in the throws of grief but I was also noticing changes within myself & my surroundings. It all began with feathers. Feathers at my feet. Feathers at my doorstep. For awhile it felt like a daily occurrence to the point it felt unreal. Feathers from heaven I thought. What a beautiful sign that my Mom was still with me. The finding of feathers continued accompanied by dreams with names and numbers. Sometimes I dreamt of people I’ve never seen before and would remember it all in full detail when I woke up. Premonition dreams soon followed along with animal dreams. I started a dream journal because it all seemed so important even if I didn’t understand the reason why. At times I felt scared. What’s wrong with me? Why is this happening?
I have always been drawn to the supernatural and the holistic. I’ve been getting reiki sessions done along with psychic readings for years. During a session I mentioned my dreams to my reiki practitioner who is also a medium. “You do realize you have gifts right?” she said. Me gifts? It seemed all so unbelievable. In the following months I joined her Intuitive development classes as well as her Reiki classes to be a practitioner myself.

Jennifer , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Jennifer Verbanc and grew up in North Wilmington Delaware. In 2015 I was going through a divorce and as most break ups go it wasn’t the easiest time in my life. I was stressed, not sleeping and suffering from headaches. My sister had suggested I try a Reiki Session. She had recently gone for one and thought it could really benefit me. I didn’t even know what Reiki was but booked an appointment. In my first session I remember feeling the most relaxed I had felt in months. Almost a sensation of weightlessness. I can remember leaving the appointment feeling lighter and clear minded. I continued to go back every 3 months for over a year. It was amazing to me how much energy healing benefited me. I was no longer anxious; the headaches had stopped and I was sleeping soundly again. Most of my clients suffer mainly from anxiety. However, I’ve worked with some with chronic pain and cancer. So what is Reiki? Reiki is an ancient Japanese practice of energy healing. It is a form of Alternative Medicine. My short answer to my clients when asked about Reiki is that it’s basically a massage but with energy. Also explaining they may experience hot or cold sensations, tingling, feelings of weightlessness etc. Some clients don’t feel anything at all but are extremely relaxed throughout the session. I am new to my practice and are currently only offering Distance and In Person Reiki Sessions which include Chakra Balancing. I offer Psychic Mediumship readings in addition to a Reiki treatment if clients are interested. I really love helping people. It really has come full circle for me. I was a client first and at a low point in my life when first introduced to this. Quarterly Reiki sessions along with regular meetings with my therapist really brought me back to life. It’s amazing now to have clients who I can truly relate to and who I am able to assist in their emotional, spiritual, and physical wellness. It’s so rewarding to hear positive feedback from my clientele. It validates why I’ve been led to do this.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?

Authenticity and Life Experiences. I think being a practitioner who is honest and genuine is the key for succeeding in the holistic field. Alternative medicine and Mediumship are easily criticized for not being real. People are so skeptical of things they can’t physically see and are not backed by mounds of scientific data proving such concepts. I am not a medicinal doctor by any means but believe my life experiences have helped mold me into a person meant to help “heal” others. I experienced trauma as a child and again in my adulthood. I was introduced to death and grief very early on. I lost one set of grandparents and an aunt all before I turned 13. I have physically witnessed 3 human beings take their last breath. One being my mother. I have basically been on a healing journey myself for decades. I used to wonder why my life experiences weren’t always the most positive. I don’t question that anymore. Everything I have experienced makes me easily relatable to my clients. I take pride in knowing I am my most authentic self with each and every client.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

I’m not sure if I have a strategy to be honest. I think word of mouth and recommendations are huge in this type of industry. I do have goals in the new year to launch a website which I believe will bring more new clients in. At this point, being very present on my social media has been my only source of advertising. I have the most wonderful supportive clients. I get so many referrals based off their session experiences. Again, that is why it is so important to me to work genuinely and honestly. Every client’s session matters when it comes to my future success in energy work. My reputation is solely being built off client encounters alone.
