When naming my brand, The Crafted Mermaid, I wanted to capture the essence of creativity, empowerment, and self-love. As a hair salon owner, I believe in the power of transformation and helping my clients feel their best, just like a mermaid flowing through the water.

“In my journey, there’s one particular story that stands out as a true testament to my resilience. It was during the early days of opening my very first salon. I had put in countless hours of hard work and dedication, excitedly preparing to welcome clients into my space. However, just as I was about to take the next step, the unimaginable happened – the building caught on fire, engulfing all of my belongings. It was a devastating setback, especially considering that I hadn’t even purchased salon insurance at that point.

But instead of letting this tragedy deter me, I chose to see it as an opportunity for growth. I knew deep down that setbacks are a natural part of any journey, and I was determined to rise above them. With resilience in my heart, I picked up the pieces, rebuilt what I had lost, and continued pursuing my dream.

Looking back, I realize that I have faced numerous failures and obstacles throughout my journey. But rather than becoming discouraged, I’ve used these experiences as stepping stones towards personal and professional growth. Each failure has provided me with invaluable lessons and the motivation to keep pushing forward.

I am grateful for every experience, both the triumphs and the tribulations, as they have shaped me into the resilient individual I am today. They have taught me the importance of adaptability, perseverance, and gratitude. I credit my ability to bounce back from setbacks to my unwavering determination and belief in myself.

Through it all, I have learned that success is not measured solely by the absence of failures, but rather by how we respond to them. I embrace failures as opportunities for growth, and I am committed to continuously learning, evolving, and becoming a better version of myself.”
