We were lucky to catch up with Jennifer Roth recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jennifer, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission as a Goddess photographer and High Priestess was born from the ashes of a version of me that no longer aligned.
After becoming a mother to four beautiful children, I unknowingly silenced my own essence. Like so many women, I poured every ounce of myself into nurturing others, leaving no space for my own needs, dreams, or healing. Postpartum depression cracked me open—and through the darkness, I began to hear the whispers of my soul calling me home.
I spent years reclaiming myself. Tending to my inner voice. Honoring my body and spirit. Reawakening the woman buried beneath the weight of sacrifice. What bloomed from that sacred healing was Gaia Dawn Studios—a sanctuary where women can remember who they are.
I believe every woman deserves a journey of self-discovery. Through sacred photography, I help them see themselves not through the lens of who the world tells them to be, but through the eyes of the Divine. Powerful, radiant, and whole.
This work is not just my calling—it’s my offering. A mirror of remembrance. A celebration of essence. A return to the Goddess within.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am the owner of Gaia Dawn Studios, where I combine my love for photography with my role as a Goddess photographer and Soul mentor. With years of experience as a High Priestess, yoga teacher, and photographer, I’m passionate about helping women tap into the magic of their uniqueness, guiding them to recognize and embrace their inner power.
Through my work, I empower women to connect with the rhythms of nature, honoring the seasons and cycles of the Earth to unlock their full strength and authenticity.
I also offer branding photography for creative professionals and spiritual entrepreneurs, capturing the essence of their vision and presence. Whether through personal empowerment or brand storytelling, I create sacred spaces for women and entrepreneurs to rediscover their true selves and elevate their businesses with authenticity and intention.
I have created the Gaia Dawn Oracle deck, a tool designed to inspire and guide others on their spiritual journey, and in 2024, I was honored to be named Best Personal/Life Coach in Salem County, NJ a recognition of my dedication to helping others transform and thrive.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
As an artist, there is nothing more rewarding than helping a woman see herself in a way she never has before.
To witness the shift, the moment she sees her own power, beauty, and magic reflected back through my lens is pure alchemy.
I don’t just take photos.
I hold sacred space for emotions to rise.
I invite the full spectrum of her story to surface. Strength, softness, scars, and soul.
Together, we create art from the rawness.
We capture images that speak to her calling, her passion, and the sacred contracts she’s here to fulfill.
These images are not just portraits. They are medicine.
They are mirrors.
They are portals to self-acceptance and embodiment.
And to be even a small part of that journey, to help a woman remember who she is, is the most beautiful gift of all.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
As a creative business owner, one of the most important things I’ve learned is to honor my intuition. Especially when it doesn’t make sense on the surface.
I’m not here to fit into a box.
I’m here to evolve, to expand, to embody the many layers of who I am as a woman, healer, and High Priestess.
My passions shift. My offerings change. And that’s not a flaw, it’s part of the magic.
Each season of my life reveals a new way to serve, a new path to walk, a new invitation to connect more deeply with myself and my community.
Everything I offer in my business is a reflection of my own journey.
It’s an expression of what I’ve lived, healed, and learned to embody.
And so, over the years, you’ll see my work transform, just like I do.
Because staying true to myself is the most authentic way I can serve others.
