We were lucky to catch up with Jennifer Quintana recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jennifer , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One of our favorite things to brainstorm about with friends who’ve built something entrepreneurial is what they would do differently if they were to start over today. Surely, there are things you’ve learned that would allow you to do it over faster, more efficiently. We’d love to hear how you would go about setting things up if you were starting over today, knowing everything that you already know.

If I had the opportunity to start my business all over again I would t change a thing! My dedication and my hard work has brought me to where I am today. Everything has been in perfect timing. I do what I love!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Hello all. My name is Jenny and I am the face behind Me and My Accessories. I started my small online business over 10 years ago and here we are today thriving and growing! I started my “side business” for fun because I’ve always loved anything fashion….. specially jewelry! At the beginning my creations were geared towards women but at time went on and I became a mom, my shop turned into a Mommy and Me. My goal was to have mommy ship for her and her littlest bestie!

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

As a small business owner I wear many hats. I’m a mom and wife above all but I am also a teacher. I have been teaching for 17 years and this year I had a little bit of a change. I put my teaching career on hold to dedicate my time to Me and My Accessories. My shop has grown so much that this can definitely be my future!

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I started my shop and I had 0 followers. I had no experience, no materials, no guidance…. No anything! Little by little I began to build my page on Instagram and through the power of social media my business grew and grew. Here we are today! Over 10 years later and over 4,000 followers! To many it may not be much but for me….. this is beyond amazing. I know there’s an even bigger audience to reach and I am on my way there.
