We recently connected with Jennifer Perry and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, thanks for joining us today. Can you share a story about the kindest thing someone has done for you and why it mattered so much or was so meaningful to you?
The kindest thing ever done for me was receiving an invitation to self realization work. I remember a season in my life when I felt content but did not feel like I had control over every aspect of my life. This caused stress and anxiety. My approach to life at that time was in a way responsive and in that, I did not feel like I had control over my experiences in life. I felt limited to my circumstances but very grateful for what I had accomplished. As time progressed, I began to feel like there was more for me to be, do, and have. Although I had those small thoughts and impulses, the motivation to get in action to address them was not present. It wasn’t until I attended a series of workshops with Momentum Education where I began to acknowledge limiting beliefs, untapped potential, and a deeper understanding of existence outside of 3D. Taking those courses challenged me to look within myself and explore each layer of myself to unlearn and relearn the truth about myself and the people around me. I had never asked myself what I really wanted in life, if I had all the money in the world, and whether or not that vision was achievable. In my exploration, I came to the conclusion that all my heart’s desires were not only achievable but also my birth right. For example, optimal health and living a life of abundance is my birthright. It is when I allowed the world, and most importantly my thoughts, to believe otherwise, that I began to experience a life that was congruent with that narrative. My focus as an entrepreneur shifted as I began to elevate my perspective on life and deepen my research in health education. I no longer wanted to help people prevent or reverse illness but to help people create abundance in every area of their lives. If communities where able to identify the truth about themselves, the quality of life they desire is easier to obtain.

Jennifer, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Jennifer Perry. I am a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Founder of Choose To Live Health Services, LLC. I attended Maryland University of Integrative Health where I obtained a Masters in Health Promotion. I currently live in the DMV area. I have been in the health education industry for twelve years. In 2017, I lost the matriarch of my paternal family to diabetes. I remember telling her that she could reverse her diabetes. Her response was “Jenna, if I have to make any big changes I won’t do it.
In 2018, my grandmother made her transition due to complications from diabetes. Shortly after, Choose To Live Health Services, LLC. was birthed. My goal is to educate, support, and transform entrepreneurs and professionals in establishing holistic practices to achieve their hearts desires through group coaching and personal development workshops. Through my coaching, participants will discover blockages and challenges, own their truth and create the life they desire.
What sets Choose To Live Health Services, LLC apart from other health coaching programming is that the focus of the program is not centered on challenges that can be seen in the physical but the challenges that are non-physical, such as limiting ideas and belief systems.
When a client comes to me they either have a strong willingness for change or are holding space for their employees to maximize their individual potential while mastering themselves and what they contribute to their company. I am most proud of the transformation that my clients create in their personal lives and in the workplace. When an individual cleans up internally, possibilities in any other areas of their life are limitless.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
As an entrepreneur who has experience with network marketing, has attended multiple masterminds, as well as many motivational and networking conferences, it was challenging for me to continue to believe that in order to create financial freedom and impact the world, I would be need to obtain multiple degrees. In 2020, I embarked on a journey to receive my Master’s degree and it was an absolute struggle for multiple reasons. A few of those reasons were being a mother to a small child, what I perceived to be uncertainty during the pandemic, and a diagnosis of combined ADHD. But the biggest challenge was knowing I wanted to invest in my passion but I was not sold on the idea that investing in another degree was what I needed to run a successful business. I heard over and over that I had everything I needed to run a business but mentally was attached to the generic way of starting a business in the field of health. It took me three years to complete my Master’s degree because I was in a constant battle with my belief system. It wasn’t until December 2022 when I decided that I was going to approach life differently, submitting to and allowing my highest self to guide my steps; afterwards, I began to have the most pleasant experience in school and everything I needed to finish school revealed itself and the mental challenges I believed I had were no longer a challenge. In August of 2023, I successfully completed my Master’s degree in Health Promotion.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I began to consider entrepreneurship, I found it challenging to decide on a target market because I believed strongly that a balanced diet, that is nourishing on a chemical level, in addition to holistic practices, can reverse any disease. Feeling forced to choose a target audience, I chose an issue that I overcame myself; unbalanced energy levels. After working with a few clients I realized the importance of working with clients who are at the preparation stage versus the contemplation stage of change. Knowing your ideal client and vetting each of them is important. In my business, like most business owners, time was very important to me and although I was always paid for it, I preferred to make an impact and be paid as a benefit versus saying, “I know my clients are not ready for change but I’ll collect their checks anyway”. I didn’t start my company to make money. I started Choose To Live Health Services, LLC to help individuals truly live their lives and explore what that looks like outside of survival mode. Although clients are still benefitting from previous programs, my business is currently in a transition period as I am building partnerships with holistic practitioners and designing new curriculum to improve my services that are elevating along with my consciousness.
