We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jennifer Kearns. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jennifer below.
Alright, Jennifer thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear stories from your time in school/training/etc.
My schooling began in the university as a music major, but evolved over time. I had various very special mentors who led me on a spiritual path to learn about cultivating my relationship with my higher powers. I feel so connected to my guardians, spirits, loved ones on the other side, and my higher power who I call the creator of all that is.
Through this connection, I feel able to listen and follow, knowing that what I’m hearing is coming from a higher Place, from the highest form of love.
I studied sound therapy in various places, the college of sound healing out of the UK, various other online programs, many books on the subject, Reiki training, color therapy training, and then practicing sound therapy and getting more experience.
The entire training process has been fluid and a beautiful organic path of self discovery and fascinating learning. I truly live by the motto of listening and following.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
From childhood, I was always a musician. I started piano at a young age, and then learned drum set, and French horn in band.
At age 11, I decided that I wanted to be a professional classical musician and went on to receive my bachelors and masters degrees in music. Afterward, I traveled with Broadway shows around the country and Japan, and eventually landed in Las Vegas where I performed in many different shows, and became a teacher.
Teaching elementary children music changed my life and brought in a new caring aspect to my musical self. Teaching children and caring for them led me to become a foster parent and learn more about trauma informed care. From there, I became interested in music, therapy and learning how to use music to help, all people heal.
After spending about 20 years being a performer and Musician, I decided to move back home to be closer to family and restart as a Sound therapist, using my experience talents and knowledge to use Music to heal.
As I evolve as a person and human, I learn more about the power of the heart, and allowing my soul and spirit and authentic self to lead my life. I want to spend the rest of my years on this planet helping others and serving others. I have had great mentors along the way, learning about energy work and the spiritual side of life. I’m very connected spiritually, and I use this connection to essentially, give love.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the many great lessons I’ve learned along the way, is to trust my intuition. This is a struggle as a human being, I believe, because we have so many outer distractions, as well as inner distractions, muddling up our thoughts and beliefs. Cultivating a strong relationship with yourself and your intuition, as well as your connection to your higher power is key to building a solid foundation. The power of intention in my life is very simple as I connect easily, and immediately with my higher powers.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
A huge turning point in my life was when my mother passed away. I had spent many years being a performer and working too much from the ego. At the same time, I was a caretaker for my mother, and was always trying to balance my heart with my ego. After her passing, I looked towards my future and wanted to make it as meaningful as possible. Sound therapy called to me so that I could move away from my ego and move towards living as my soul and spirit and live as my authentic self, helping others.
