We were lucky to catch up with Jennifer Gogo recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jennifer, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Our mission is to ensure people return home to their families at the end of a days work. After being in the safety, health, and environmental field, I have seen people get injured on the job. The injured worker, is affected, their co-workers, their families, and the company in which they are employed with are all effected by the injury. Accidents are preventable, and we have decided to do as much possible to prevent the next workplace injury or fatality.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I started my career in safety in early 2000. I started in the manufacturing environment then into construction, warehouse distribution, and finally in manufacturing. I have worked in EHS industry for over 23 years. I graduated from an HBCU, Voorhees University, formally known as Voorhees College in Denmark SC. There I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Biology, and minored in Chemistry. I obtained my master’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Management. from Columbia southern University, Alabama. My partner, Bruce Gogo, brings extensive teaching skills for over 23 years as well,
Together we are excited about revolutionizing traditional training. We will always need people to instruct a course, but it is a different level when having people emersed into what they are learning. We Engauge the sense of touch, sight, sound, and smell into their world of learning. With the use of simulation, and virtual reality, people are learning in a safe environment the skills needed to work in a hazardous environment safely. Pilots use simulators to learn how to fly planes, why not use this same concept to teach people how to operate a forklift? Simulation and Virtual Reality can teach people what to do in an emergency response spill clean up, as well as how to assemble a machine. The opportunity is endless.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Getting started is the hardest thing to do when launching a business. Thankfully, I have had the opportunity to be in the room with great business minds to teach us that no idea is a dumb idea, and to think beyond what you can’ see. Dr. Kenneth Law one on my mentors, helped me to see that I have more to offer the world and not to be afraid of the ideas that can become a stream of income.
In 2019 I had the idea to start a safety training company in Louisiana, However, Covid came, the business didn’t launch, my company in which i was working for closed, and i had to relocate. The Good thing is, Georgia is home. I was born and raised in southwest Ga, and I had the opportunity to come home. It felt good to be back in my home state near family and friends.
After 4 years of being back, it is time to move forward in accomplishing my dream. Whit the unplanned pause, we can now come to the market with incorporating technology into training, which is new to industry training.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
We are just building our reputation in the market of training. This idea is new in the area, but not totally new in industyry. One of the things that has help me to build my reputation in places is networking. Attending EHS conferences, work shops, Speaking at Conferences, and being willing to test things as they are being introduced into the market. Having an open mind and the wiliness to being taught, coached, and mentored. Also understanding the need of the customer and being able to find a solution to the problem. In order to find solutions you have to be willing to do the work and the research.
