We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jennifer Garufi. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jennifer below.
Hi Jennifer, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
In my mid-thirties, I was chronically ill and told that I would end up in a wheelchair. I was diagnosed with several chronic diseases, had been in constant pain for seven years, and was told there was no way I could get better. Instead, I healed myself in three weeks. This experience led me on a journey of self-discovery and ignited my passion to help others. I realized that I had been struggling with self-love, unhealed trauma, and a tendency to be a people pleaser.
Over the past 18 years, I have gathered and created tools to help others live the lives of their dreams. I manifested and created the opportunity to publish my book, found my dream relationship (now my husband – we got married after10 years together), built healthy relationships with my kids and many friends, established a consistent meditation and spirituality practice, and built a career doing what I love. I am passionate about helping others discover their own inner power and gifts. I love offering people tools and practices that help them move past blocks and restrictions so they can step into their best lives.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I have studied over 15 energy healing modalities and mind/body methods, and I have created many mindfulness and energy tools for my clients. I am skilled (18 years experience) at reading and clearing Akashic Records and have worked extensively with self-love and self-worth. I know how to help people tap into energy and unconditional love so they can heal past wounds and move forward.
I am most proud of healing myself and helping others do the same. I have had clients heal from late-stage cancer, helped people leave or heal unhealthy relationships, and guided individuals to step into their gifts and “remember who they are,” rather than acting and reacting from past wounds and hurts.
I take great pride in my writing and my work with clients. My clients often say that I feel like a best friend to them, and I genuinely feel that love for each and every person I work with. We have all lived through challenging times, and I show up with non-judgment and a vision of my clients living their best possible lives, reaching their fullest potential.
I can help clients devise a plan and offer discounted services for continued work with me. I show up as my client’s biggest cheerleader, bringing nearly 20 years of tools and experience to the table. One of my gifts is knowing intuitively which tools will help my clients. I make this work enjoyable—while there may be tears, there will also be plenty of laughter.
I won’t say it’s always easy, but it is incredibly exciting to start shedding limits and stepping into the totality of our gifts and worth.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
The hardest thing I have had to overcome, even more challenging than my 7 years of chronic pain, was the loss of my mom. She was my example of unconditional love and was my best friend for over 50 years. I had helped so many people with late stage cancer to heal. But when my mom got diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, she was ready, even though she was young (69) to go. I was her sole care giver for 8 months and it was heart breaking to watch her get weak and pass. It was also beautiful to be able to spend the time with her, take her to doctor appointments and show up for her the way she had shown up for me, for my whole life.
I was in “go mode” caring for her. Giving medications, making sure she ate (when she could), and her physical needs were taken care of was painful but at the same time kept me going. I had to come to terms she was ready to go. My mom had always told me she did not want to get old and in her opinion “old” was 70 and up. She died at 69. She missed my step-dad, her partner of 35 years even more than she had let me know. I found out when caring for her and finding her weekly poetry written for him. She saw my kids were grown and felt she had lived enough but boy I still wanted her here for much longer.
When she did pass, I literally felt like my heart was ripped out of my body. I have never known a pain like that. I wanted her out of pain so badly I had not been focused on how badly her being gone would hurt me. I had grief dreams where that moment was relived.
It was in studying shamanism and the connection to ancestors that I finally was able to transmute SOME of that pain. Honestly, I still miss my mom’s daily morning calls. But her being gone, allowed me to finally adapt a morning daily meditation routine, which I had wanted for over a decade. It’s now been over 1300 days in a row.
Her passing made me embrace self love on a new level and to show up for myself in ways I had not before. It made me stronger, as I could never have imagined a world without her. I am so grateful for the 50 years I had with her. This experience has allowed me an even deeper empathy with my clients who have also lost loved ones. It has allowed my mindfulness and meditation practice to fo even deeper. There have been gifts from what was the worst pain of my life.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients has always been referral. Once someone works with me, they want to share my work with one or a few friends and family members. I make change easier than thought possible and with a whole lotta love and non judgement.
Also when I have led workshops or classes, people will sign up for one on one work. The more I get out there.. the more clients come. I love working with groups (I have worked with women’s circles) and families. The more a group works on themselves the bigger the ripple effect is.
