We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jennifer Demoro. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jennifer below.
Jennifer, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
As a jewelry designer, I’m on a mission to celebrate the vibrant spirit of women at every age. Inspired by the bold energy of the 1970s and the strength of trailblazing women past and present, I create pieces that blend vintage charm with modern sophistication.
My jewelry is for the woman who’s lived, loved, and grown into her true self. It’s for those who know that wisdom and confidence are the most beautiful accessories of all. When you wear one of my pieces, I want you to feel a spark of joy and a surge of empowerment.

Jennifer, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a fine jewelry designer and the owner at Jennifer DeMoro Jewelry. I have had a lifelong love of all things jewelry but after college, I went into education for the next 20 years. Though my love of jewelry was never far off, I continued to pursue and learn all I could in my spare time. The birth of my son was the catalyst for me to jump foot-first into the industry and start my business. And he continues to be my inspiration as I want to exemplify what is possible.
My main goal at JDM (besides creating beautiful jewelry) is to make women visible and valued at every age. Through my jewelry, I want to empower women with self-expression and change the narrative around aging in our society.
I believe that what truly sets Jennifer DeMoro Jewelry apart is my commitment to celebrating the strength and individuality of women, particularly those over 50. In a society that often renders older women invisible, our jewelry serves as a bold declaration of presence, value, and vitality.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
At 44, my life took an unexpected turn that changed everything – I became a mother. As an independent woman who had defined herself through career and personal achievements, this pivot was both exhilarating and terrifying.
The shift from my well-ordered world to one of sleepless nights and baby gear was profound. It challenged my identity to its core. There were moments of doubt and exhaustion, but also indescribable joy and a new sense of purpose.
Adapting to motherhood wasn’t easy, especially when many of my peers were dealing with teenage children or becoming grandparents. But this major life change catalyzed a shift in my creative vision. The birth of my son in 2013 became the impetus for establishing my namesake brand, Jennifer DeMoro Jewelry.
My designs began to reflect this new chapter, becoming bolder and more meaningful. They celebrated the strength and adaptability of women, speaking to transformation and the beauty of unexpected journeys.
This pivot taught me that it’s never too late to redefine yourself. It reinforced my belief that women should be celebrated at every stage of life, a philosophy that now underpins every piece of jewelry I create.
Today, I see my roles as a mother and an independent woman as complementary facets of who I am. My son has added depth to my perspective and fueled my creativity.
To any woman facing a major life change, especially later in life, I say: embrace it. It may reshape your world in unexpected ways, but it can also open doors to new possibilities and a new understanding of yourself. My journey into motherhood at 44 didn’t end my story as an independent woman – it added a beautiful, complex, and inspiring new chapter.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
When it comes to growing your business, I’ve found that a multi-faceted approach works best. Leverage social media platforms like Instagram to showcase your products and share your journey, but don’t underestimate the power of in-person connections. Host events and participate in trade shows to create meaningful relationships with your customers. Building a community around your brand is crucial – start a VIP group or a newsletter that goes beyond just selling products. Network within your industry; join professional organizations and collaborate with complementary brands. Most importantly, stay authentic throughout. Share your personal story and be transparent about your processes. For me, becoming a mother at 44 and how it influenced my designs has been a key part of my brand’s narrative. Remember, integrating your online and offline strategies creates multiple touchpoints for customer engagement. It takes time and consistency, but the rewards of building genuine relationships and a strong brand presence are immeasurable.
