We recently connected with Jennifer Curry Prasad and have shared our conversation below.
Jennifer, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
After a 23 year successful career in banking I made the decision to walk away from the only thing I believed I knew how to do.
My teenage son Nico had passed away and completely shattered my life as I knew it
I made the decision the day I had to walk out of the hospital without him downstairs to get my daughter who was only 3 at the time, I scooped her up as she was the only reason I made it out of there that day. I knew I had to raise her differently. I knew I couldn’t continue living ground hog day stuck at a 9-5 in an office commuting an hour each way spending too many hours away from my babies any longer.
I resigned walking out the door having no idea how I would earn income for my family
I trusted a path would be revealed and it was. I ventured in to the industry of direct sales with zero sales experience and built a team of over 8 thousand people in our organization that has been successful these last 8 years. Alongside writing and publishing my son and my story and creating grief support tools with the intention that sharing my story can help other Mammas through their grief journeys.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
As someone who has endured great tragedy and trauma throughout life, my compassion runs so deep to understand and hold space for peoples story because we all have one.
Each person is a beautiful puzzle piece to this thing we call life. My passion and purpose is to guide people to live their brightest lives whether that’s through the cleaner safer beauty products I share and educate around, my holistic health and wellness knowledge, the grief support tools I have created that have helped me, however I can be of service and help shift fear to faith helping each person live their brightest life, that’s where I come in to support.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Refer to my first slide as I share my pivot there
How did you build your audience on social media?
In the beginning I resisted social media big time! In time I realized it really can be a place to find your people, connect and build nurturing reciprocity foundational relationships. The last 7 years I have utilized social media to market my beauty products, income earning opportunity and my grief support tools.
