We recently connected with Jennifer Bizuneh and have shared our conversation below.

Jennifer, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.

In 2018, there were many changes occurring in my personal and professional life. I was feeling somewhat stagnant in my career and I was going through a divorce. Ironically, the struggles a person faces can often be the catalyst for a renew passion in life. As I adjusted to my new life and to my role as a single mother, I learned that empowerment comes from within, through self-love and self-acceptance. It became my goal that every patient that comes through our doors leaves feeling more confident and empowered, that hopefully we have helped them get a little further down that path of self-love. In 2021, my business partner retired and becoming the sole owner of The Medical Spa, allowed me to further mold our practice into a place that foster’s an environment of health, wellness, and self-empowerment.

Jennifer, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am a DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice) with a background in internal medicine and emergency medicine. I started in weight management and aesthetics over 12 years ago. At The Medical Spa, we provide a variety of services to assist clients in achieving their health, weight, and/or aesthetics goals. We offer weight management, glucose monitoring, hormone testing and optimization, medical grade skin care products, Hydrafacial, Coolsculpting, laser treatments, and a variety of skin rejuvenation injectables, such as Botox and Juvederm. Our treatment plans are individualized and customized to meet the client’s individual needs. Our focus is to get every client a little closer to the most optimal version of themselves.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Our reputation has been built through client experience and referrals. To me a client referral is the greatest compliment that we can receive. We strive to ensure that every client feels heard and seen during their visit and this has been the greatest contributor to our growth.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

We each are resilient in different ways. For me, being the daughter of immigrant parents and the first generation to graduate college, it was important to always stay focused on my education and continual growth in my field. Knowledge and experience can never be taken away, no matter what happens, so I made sure I received the highest degree possible in my career. I also continue to grow and advance my knowledge through continuing education and advance training.
