We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jennifer Aurianne DaRe a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jennifer Aurianne, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about how you got your first client. Paint the picture for us so we can feel the same excitement you felt on that day.
I originally came from the music business – first as a singer in bands and then moved into music management. When I was still fully engaged in managing bands, a very close friend of mine, David Basila, brought up that I should manage actors. Over the years, he mentioned this a number of times and in early 2008 I decided I wanted to move out of music and he brought it up again. I checked out what it would take to start a management company and one of the first and most important was getting access to the website Breakdowns, which is where all casting directors post the roles that are needing to be filled. I started managing actors at that moment, and David was my first client. He still is a client to this day.

I am proud to serve as the founder and CEO of ATN Entertainment, a talent management and production company based in the heart of Los Angeles. At ATN, we specialize in representing a diverse array of talent, including actors, writers, directors, and content creators across various media platforms, from film and television to music and literature.
Since establishing ATN in 2015, our roster has flourished, we currently have over 115 clients, with a strong emphasis on empowering women, all marginalized talent and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Following the tragic events of 9/11, I felt deeply moved to take action. Despite facing personal and professional challenges, I made the decision to travel from a photography gig in Chicago to New York to volunteer in the aftermath of the attacks.
Initially intending to stay for just a brief period, I unexpectedly found myself being asked to take on a leadership role within the volunteer group, remaining in New York until December 15th, 2001. During my time there, I dedicated myself to supporting various organizations, including firehouses, the piers, the Women’s and Children’s Fund, as well as the Red Cross and Salvation Army.
Upon returning to Los Angeles, I encountered difficulties, including the loss of my producing gig due to the extended absence. However, I remained determined and began working with a then-established actress as her executive assistant, embarking on a new chapter in my career.
This experience underscored the importance of resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity. It reinforced my commitment to serving others and fueled my determination to overcome obstacles.
Through unwavering perseverance, I have navigated the highs and lows of the entertainment industry, culminating in the founding of ATN Entertainment in December 2015, driven by my passion for talent management and dedication to supporting artists.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My creative journey is driven by a steadfast commitment to achieving success without compromising integrity or ethical principles, both personally and professionally. Throughout my experiences in the industry, I’ve been confronted with the constant dilemma of choosing between what’s right and what’s expedient. In response, I’ve made it my mission not to remain silent in the face of adversity, but rather to confront unethical behavior and uphold a standard of accountability and transparency.
While this commitment to ethical conduct may have prolonged our journey to success, it’s a principle I refuse to compromise. Despite the challenges inherent in running a business, particularly one that prioritizes integrity above all else, I remain dedicated to maintaining a stable and unwavering environment at ATN Entertainment. Our ethos is centered on hard work, perseverance, and the relentless pursuit of artistic distinction, setting a high bar for ourselves and our clients alike.
Ultimately, my goal is to cultivate an environment where success is measured not only by professional achievement but also by the integrity and ethical standards that underpin our work. By staying true to our principles, we not only elevate the quality of our creative endeavors but also foster a culture of trust and accountability within our organization and the broader industry.
