Alright, Jennifer thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you take vacations? How do you keep things going – any advice for entrepreneurs who feel like they can’t step away from their business for a short vacation?
Yes, I do take vacations—and I believe they’re essential for long-term sustainability and creativity as a business owner. It wasn’t always easy to step away, especially in the early stages of building my business. But I’ve learned that burnout helps no one—not my clients, not my team, and certainly not me.
To keep things running smoothly while I’m away, I lean into systems and planning. I communicate clearly with clients in advance, automate what I can, and delegate responsibilities to trusted team members. I’ve also built a strong network of professionals I can lean on for support when needed.
My advice to fellow entrepreneurs: don’t let guilt or fear keep you tied to your business 24/7. Taking time off isn’t a luxury—it’s a strategy. When you prioritize rest and reset, you return with fresh energy, new ideas, and a stronger ability to lead.

That passion naturally evolved into launching my own home staging and interior styling company, Southern Grace Interiors, where I merge real estate expertise with design to help clients maximize both value and comfort.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
95% of my business comes from referrals, which I consider the highest compliment in this industry. Building strong relationships and consistently delivering value has allowed my business to grow organically through word of mouth. Whether it’s past clients, friends, family, or fellow professionals, I’ve been fortunate to earn trust that turns into ongoing connections.
The remaining 5% comes from social media marketing. Platforms like Instagram and Facebook help me stay top of mind, showcase my work, and connect with new audiences. But at the end of the day, it’s the personal relationships and client experiences that fuel long-term success.

Consistency has been key to building my reputation in the market. I show up, follow through, and strive to deliver a high standard of service in every interaction. I take the time to truly listen to my clients, understand their needs, and learn who they are—not just what kind of home they’re looking for. That deeper understanding allows me to guide them toward the right fit, often beyond what they initially imagined.
