Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jennifer Arellano. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jennifer, thanks for joining us today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
I definitely wish I would’ve taken content creating serious when I first opened my Tiktok Account. I initially opened my account back in 2020, but never uploaded anything on the platform. It was more for entertainment purposes. Fast forward to 2022, I had my firstborn, became a stay at home mom and watched over our Rottweiler. One day I decided to pick up my phone and share the amazing relationship my daughter and her furry best friend had. The video instantly wet viral! I went from a few hundred followers to gaining 20k in a matter of 1-2 days. I thought to myself, “this was very easy.” I kept posting every now and then, but it wasn’t until 2023 that I fully committed. Throughout those 2 years, I used content creating to help me come out of my post partum depression. So even though I wish I could’ve started sooner, I believe everything happened for a reason.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hello! For those that don’t know me, my name is Jennifer Arellano. I am happily married, I have 2 babies (two under two) and take care of our furry baby. I create content for Tiktok and Instagram. I do not focus on a niche because I love sharing a bit of everything. Lifestyle, outfit of the day, recipes. motherhood, marriage and much more. I take pride in being relatable to so many. My followers learn how to cook with my easy recipes, get inspired to work on their future to have the family of their dreams and of course share tips to get them started on their content creating journey. It really feels amazing to inspire and help others!

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Of course bringing some kind of income home feels amazing! But the most rewarding aspect of being a content creator, is the community you build. They literally become a family through social media. Your internet friends will support you more than some family. Constantly supporting and rooting for you.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I know not everyone will be your cup of tea, but one thing we can definitely do is, stop the hate. There is room for everyone to grow. A simple comment or share goes a long way. You don’t necessarily need to like the content, but helping the artist/creative get exposure is the best thing you can do.
