We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jennifer. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jennifer below.
Jennifer, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
I have always had a passion for health and fitness. I went to college and graduated with the dreams of becoming a high school math teacher. I was a teacher for 5 years and realized my heart wasn’t 100% in it. At this time, after being on my own health journey for 3 years, I decided I wanted to invest in my education and take the steps to become a functional health coach. I left teaching after 5 school years and became a health coach full time. It was the best decision I could have made for myself, my health and my family.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a Certified Functional Health Coach, Endometriosis Specialist, Autoimmune Specialist, and Emotional & Binge Eating Specialist. I help women get to the root of their chronic symptoms so they can stop surviving and start thriving—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
My journey into this field started with my own health struggles—years of battling gut issues, endometriosis, mold toxicity, and amenorrhea while feeling dismissed and misunderstood by the conventional system. I knew there had to be a deeper reason behind the symptoms I was experiencing—and once I uncovered that for myself, I became obsessed with helping other women do the same.
I work with women who are dealing with gut issues, hormone imbalances, autoimmune conditions, and emotional eating patterns that have kept them stuck in cycles of confusion, burnout, and shame. Using my our 4F Process—Flush, Feed, Fast, and Function—I guide them through a holistic, step-by-step healing journey that addresses both the physical and emotional layers of healing.
Through my 1-on-1 coaching, functional testing, group programs, webinars, and resource, I empower women with clear answers, simple strategies, and science-backed protocols that actually work. I also bring in mindset and nervous system work to support emotional eating patterns, which is a huge part of the puzzle for so many women.
What sets me apart? It’s the way I combine clinical strategy with deep compassion. I’m not just looking at your labs—I’m listening to you. Your story matters. And healing isn’t just about eliminating symptoms—it’s about getting your life back.
What I’m most proud of is seeing my clients experience real, lasting transformation. From regular, pain-free periods and balanced moods to reduced meds, better digestion, and food freedom—this is the kind of deep healing that changes everything.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A big lesson I had to unlearn was that more knowledge isn’t always better—sometimes it’s just more.
As a practitioner and a forever student of health, I used to believe that if I just kept learning more, enrolling in more certifications, listening to more podcasts, reading more research—I’d eventually hit this magical point where I’d have all the answers and feel 100% confident.
But in reality, that pursuit of “more” started to feel overwhelming, and even paralyzing. I was drowning in information, second-guessing myself, and overcomplicating the healing process—for both myself and my clients. It became clear that I didn’t have a knowledge problem—I had an integration problem.
The real shift happened when I started trusting myself more and simplifying my approach. I realized that transformation doesn’t come from dumping more data on someone—it comes from applying the right tools at the right time, and showing up with presence, clarity, and connection.
Now, I remind myself (and my clients) that information without embodiment is just noise. Healing isn’t about collecting more—it’s about doing less, better.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been creating authentic connections and focusing on education-based marketing. I’ve found that when I show up consistently—whether it’s through free resources like my Endometriosis Survival Guide, webinars, Instagram content, or challenges—I’m not just marketing, I’m building trust. People resonate with realness. When they see that I’ve not only walked through my own healing journey but also helped so many others do the same, they feel safe and seen.
I also offer free discovery calls, which have been a powerful way to connect on a deeper level. This gives potential clients a chance to feel heard, ask questions, and get a sense of how I work before committing—which often turns into a strong, aligned coaching relationship.
Another game-changer has been referrals from past or current clients. When someone experiences life-changing results, they naturally want to share it. That’s the power of real transformation—it becomes contagious.
And finally, I focus on getting real results. When your clients start reversing autoimmune symptoms, balancing their hormones, or healing their relationship with food, word travels fast—and that’s been my best “marketing” of all.
